The last straw with Zito???

Post by battery chucka' one »

This is insane!!! Dude is pitching against the Tigers and already had been touched up for eight batters and two runs in the first innning. Leading off the top 2, Armando Gallaraga. He's a pitcher. He's a rookie. HE'S AN AMERICAN LEAGUE STARTING PITCHER, FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!! In other words, I can strike this guy out, you can strike this guy out. Easy, gimme out. Three down the heart and meat takes a seat. What does Zito do? HE WALKS THE KID!!! I don't know how many pitches. It doesn't really matter. Any more than three tossed to him was too many. Then, Zito proceeds to walk the next guy. The next batter lights him up for a double and the hit parade begins in full swing. After Zito has tossed two innings, the Tigers have five runs. They just lifted Zito for a pinch hitter.

Now, I've been the guy saying that we should be patient with him. He'll come around. Now, I say, no way. This has got to be the end. You CAN'T walk a rookie AL pitcher leading off an inning and expect to crawl out from under the avalanche that is bound to ensue. Perhaps they should give him some time in Fresno. Yeah, I'm sure he's out of options, but maybe we'll luck out and the Pirates or Braves will snap him up off the waiver wire. I'm tired of seeing this every five days. I know they knew that they overpaid for him, but come on. This is just silly. I'm wondering if there will be any fallout from this little performance. Probably not. He's still more competent at 2-11 than Pat Misch (sorry kid, you're not any better than Barry. Just cheaper.). At least the foursome of Cain, Lincecum, Sanchez, Correia is pretty good. Maybe they could call up either Alderson or Sosa and baptise them by fire. Heck, Foppert, Bump, and Muntner are all bumping around Fresno. I'm willing to give them all shots. That is all.
Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Let this be a lesson for all MLB pitchers, one they should have already known...

No matter how tempting it is, no matter how irresistable she is, no matter how liquored up you get...

DO NOT FUCK ALYSSA MILANO.

She's definitely the reverse slumpbuster...

Funny that all those guys got huge free agent contracts and then either ended up with arm trouble or became below average pitchers. They may be wastes of skin right now but they did get their paper when they had the chance.

If I already had the cash in the bank I think I'd risk fucking Milano.
