Logisticians/Managers

Post by Dinsdale »

So, this dude who is kinda sorta but not really my boss, but officially the "Project Manager" (who I try to pay little attention to) is an interesting douche.

Without going into detail, there's computers involved, and end users must wrap up open apps/docs/whatsuch and save them on a network drive before we can do our thing. There's a very clear corporate policy of the client that all employees must be given 7 days advance notice to get their computer shit together, then a reminder 4 days after that. It's a standard/form e-mail they recieve as notice.

Sounds easy enough so far, right?

So, the other night, the last I saw of this "project manager" who was hired (through a staffing agency) to make these communications, he was...

And no, I'm not making this up, though I wish I were...

Homeslice was typing out indivdual e-mails to department supervisors to apologize for being too busy to send out the notification e-mails.

I'm sorry if you had to read that twice before it made sense.

And again... No, I'm not making this shit up. I may be creative, but I'm not that creative. I never would have thought that up in a hundred years.

Matter of fact, he's spent at least 2 hours in the last week explaining to me and crew how he's too busy to perform the basic tasks assigned to him.

And the field crew got sent home for the week because of it (Dins be a little upset about this), after the client (HUUUUUGE company) told Douchey to "fuck off."

Fuck, War Wagon managing the project from a forklift would be a serious upgrade.

FUCK... I meant to include some sort of "I gave him the URL to this place" crack... that was kinda the whole purpose of the thread, and you had to come pick up my slack...

My bad. I guess the no-brainer WW joke distracted me.

I had something else to add here, but instead I'll type this post explaining how I was too busy to type a post.

There any many "interesting douches" in IT Manager land. Actually, you'd think it was a required fucking attribute, from what I've seen...

I had to bail after this.

I'm sure it all ends up badly.
