How appropriate
Excuse me while I chuckle, maybe this belongs in the NFL forum, but the idea of Desperate Dems Defiling Donk stadium has me cackling hysterically.
Colorado is a Red State, you fucking morons... and you're going thru all this trouble to win what, 7 electoral votes?

The appropriate question to ask is how the DNC is going to market tickets for the acceptance speech.
$4.95 and four UPC symbols from Olde English 400 or Turbo Malt Liquor (34oz or larger)
Buy two boxes of RU486 and one box of Rohypnol and get a buy-one-get-one-free coupon to Obamathon 2008
Bring two fried chickens and a watermelon and get in free. All donations support the Denver food bank.

That shouldn't be a problem. They'll have folks from as far away as Boise, Idaho clamoring for those tickets.Rootbeer wrote:The appropriate question to ask is how the DNC is going to market tickets for the acceptance speech.

Nine electoral votes, Whitey, not seven. And fwiw, based on the polls, Colorado is in play this year.War Wagon wrote:Colorado is a Red State, you fucking morons... and you're going thru all this trouble to win what, 7 electoral votes?

By contrast, the Republicans are holding their convention in Minnesota. Minnesota has the longest current streak of voting Democratic in Presidential elections (last went Republican in 1972), and doesn't appear to be in play this year. But you knew all this, didn't you? Of course you did.

It must be the desperate ploy of an outfit ahead in the polls by 8 points. Truly desperate, those front-running Dems.War Wagon wrote: Desperate Dems

I believe that Obama is going on the offensive in these traditionally Republican states in order to force the McCain campaign to play defense there, and pull them away from places they’d rather campaign. Truly desperate.

Hey, I was just going with some word that started with a D. It wasn't supposed to make sense. This is politics we're talking about. However, I like your word better and want a do over.Bizzarofelice wrote: It must be the desperate ploy of an outfit ahead in the polls by 8 points. Truly desperate, those front-running Dems.

"Deluded Dems Defile Donk stadium" has a better ring to it, dontcha' think?
I just got tickled knowing that most of the Donk fanbase who can afford season tickets at Piled High won't be voting for Obama.
As for being ahead 8 points in the polls, that doesn't mean squat. This will be a state by state battle for electoral votes and national polls are irrelevant.

Have you forgotten that Boulder is within driving distance?War Wagon wrote:
