Hellboy II

Post by indyfrisco »

Ok, saw the trailer and thought it was a joke. Did people actually watch the first one? The first one looked SOOOOO stupid. Is it a comic book for tard or something? Just can't figure out why they decided "Shit Movie: Part 2" was a good move.

The first movie was average at best and I'm being generous. Not worthy of a sequel.

I have a friend who is a professional illustrator. He gave me a couple of Hellboy comics one day, so I checked them out - pretty cool. Having read those, I enjoyed the Hellboy flicks that have been released so far, and I'll probably enjoy this one as well. At this point, I'll pretty much go see anything Guillermo del Toro has a hand in.

The comics are out of a certain town in the U&L where Dins may or may not live.

Firstly Indy, it might be of benefit to actually watch a Guillermo del Toro film before commenting on it.

Secondly, the first movie made enough money to warrant a sequal...thus, the sequal.

Third, have you ever seen the movies "Road to Perdition", or "Ghostworld", or "American Splendor"? They were based on comic books too, and most people don't have a clue about that. Get over your ridiculous notion of modern comics and get a clue. They are the hottest properties going in cinema these days.

"The Dark Knight" is an instant classic. Box office out front should have told you.
