dude hung in there longer than he was supposed to, but, looks like the big C came on like a freight train this last month or so.
Too bad. He was quite an inspiration. T&Ps to his wife and young children.
I had been checking his site the last few months to see how he was coming along and kind of figured that no updates during the last month was a bad sign.

Interesting concept. RIPIn the process, he shared his insights on finding the good in other people, working hard to overcome obstacles and living generously.
Re: RIP Randy Pausch
I debated over this thread.
- leave it alone
- run smack on pussy Pausch for dying
- talk serious
I finally chose the third option.
LAST lecture ... what message do people need to hear?
Solomon - all is vanity.
People want to have dreams, chase 'em, enjoy the chase, love life.
People want to do right, be happy, love others and themself.
But tragedies, conflicts, financial troubles, illnesses ... all come crashing in.
They are invariably derailed.
Because man is a created being, made where he must be with the Creator.
A fish is flopping around on a deck ... out of the water.
"Here fishy, flop over this way a little bit and you'll feel good! No, THIS way ... yeah, that's it."
Nope.
Get him back in the water and he'll live.
A 'last lecture' ought to be about telling people about how to live.
Or why waste the time?
Vanity.
Rather spend an hour in here calling strangers dumbfucks.
