Good pick-up by the fish and a typical Parcells move.
'Rebuilding' while having an established QB under center has been his history.
A little bit of stability.
Wow, I looked up and all of a sudden C. Pennington is 32 yrs old.
Seems like the guy ought to be 27 or 28.
Time flies.
Dolphins: 6-10ish

Not quite the same buzz what Green Bay-Minnesota could've been on Week 1 had Favre ended up with the Vikings but Jets-Dolphins in Week 1 oughta be pretty interesting. Pennington has eroded physical skills but he's always been one of the more savvy QBs in the league. He might get the Dolphins a couple more wins. He doesn't have shit for receivers other than Ginn but they should have a good running game and he's got the #1 pick protecting his blind side...yes Dins, I'm acknowledging the o-line. This is still one of the worst teams in the league but he'll make fewer mistakes than a young QB like Beck or Henne would...that should keep them in some games.
Re: Thank you VERY MUCH, Tuna!
I wouldn't even say Ginn is much to boast about at this time, maybe that changes but doubtful this year. I agree with Pop, decent pickup for a team with a desperate leadership role to full. And Pops, I was thinking practically the same thing you were when I saw Penn's age yesterday... ![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Go Bucs, Gators

Agreed. Very "cerebral player."
And if I remember right, Pennington went to JuCo or something. He was a few years out of high school before his tenure at Marshall. He was older-than-average when he graduated.
I got 99 problems but the 'vid ain't one

No. He went to Marshall straight from high school. Started as a freshman, red-shirted his second year, then played three more years.Dinsdale wrote:mvscal wrote: I think he'd make a great coach if he was ever interested.
