College Football Plays Week 1

Post by buckeye_in_sc »

Ok here are some plays I did some research on...

Troy v MTSU...Taking Troy -6.5, Last year Troy was 8-3 ATS and 8-2 ATS in last 10 road games. Troy won last year 45-7

Texas v FLA ATL...Taking Texas -23, Texas is 4-1 ATS in last 5 against Sun Belt and 9-4 in last 13 ATS.

Oregon State v Standford...Taking OSU -3.5, OSU is 4-0 ATS in last 4 overall games and 6-1 ATS in last 7 conference games and won last year 23-6

Vandy v Miami OH...Taking Vandy -3 and the under 41.5, Vandy won last year 24-13 (did not cover but hit under)...Miami OH 3-9 ATS in last 12 games, Vandy 10-2 v Under in last 12

Michigan State v Cal ...Taking Michigan State +4.5...MSU is 6-1 ATS in last 7 road games, Cal is 4-9 ATS in last 13 games.

might also look at Northwestern -11.5 v Syracuse and UVA +19.5 against USC...

that is all for now...found a great site with lots of information (got to credit the course) and yes I favor the trends that are happening...

This is one of those "hu?" spreads that make you think "maybe Vegas knows something I don't know." I say that because you'd expect a team like Texas to be more like a 30-35 point favorite over a mediocre Sun Belt team. For that reason, I think I'd take Florida Atlantic in this. I have no reasoning other than Vegas knows more than us and I've found that more often than not in games like this you should pick opposite of what you think.

Jon - perhaps...but the trends say otherwise...

hard to pass up Texas as 9-4 ATS in last 13...home game for Texas, Texas defense should be more aggro under Muschamp and Howard S was talking shit about Texas...so that will have UT fired up...

we'll see how it turns out...

good play...tomorrow I go with

Texas - 23 or 23.5
Northwestern -11 or 11.5
Michigan State +4.5 or 5

thoughts?

They are pretty good on the hot trend...Texas is 9-4 ATS in last 13, Northwestern is like 5-1 ATS in August games and Cuse is like 4-9 ATS in their last 13, and MSU as stated before is like 6-1 ATS in last 7...

no, i liked temple and they crushed

you don't win at gambling betting BCS schools. you find the midmajors who crush the spread weekly.

and for the record 2-0

Rice with the easy cover. they still suck.

looking at 2morrows games, tough games. some look too easy(tcu, minnesota, wyoming)

took indiana -18 as my only 12pm game.

wow, me not betting 35 early games (12-330 games) is a record.

i liked wisky and pitt also, but didnt play them, wisky always scares me, sometimes they just win with defense in a game they should win by 30.

have a question for anyone who plays Bodog. I had a buddy put in Indiana. early line was 18.

but it says line was 17. so is that what i got it at? fuck i hate going through online shit. and he wont answer his phone, hes tailgating at dome.

called the bookie for yesterdays game, but didnt for indiana.

i love TCU and Minnesota. that minnesota line looks wacky, as if they are trying to sucker me in. Minny brought in a ton of good talent this padt recruiting class. Northern have a new coach in Kill(former SIU coach). and im sure there will be new offense and defense problems.

played Kentucky +130 yesterday, was about to leave, went to kentucky.com and they had matchups for each team, and Kentucky had too much Senior leadership on defensive line and in skilled positions(minus QB), sure it was a cripple fest, but easy winner. didnt touch CU-ST game, that was too many points to give with CU and didnt like CSU

still deciding, but unless i change this post, i'm taking

Fresno +140

Tenn - 8 Games are in this game looks like such a mismatch.

PS there are some really juicy lines for next week. SC giving close to 10 on the road???????????

PSS i really dont like the high juice on bets on bodog. i wasnt giving 57.50 to win 50 on kentucky, so i said fuck it and took the $$$ line. it should always be 52.50 or 55 to win 50. they wont allow my buddy to transfer my winning to my account, and im afraid, if i get the cash, ill blow it at fairmount park today. (already have cash for horses today, dont need to piss away more)

the worst equation for all gamblers: losing college football game=chasing the horses it can get ugly, or you can win big.

No fairmount today, card was the suck. will watch and wager on some philly park and saratoga races
