im impressed. there are some things i wish it had like the adblocker plus that i use for firefox.. but over all its a solid browser..

oh i almost forgot.. my work uses a outlook mail dealio when you login from home. chrome doesnt like it at all.. but i guess thats to be expected..

I really like it so far. I currently use Opera for a lot of minimal browsing, but there are things I dislike about it. I can see using Chrome instead. There's a great element inspector and a nice memory usage monitor (in Chrome, that is).

So far I like it as well. I think there are definitely some issues that need to be worked out still but a solid start non the less. I'd say the adblocker is very needed and some of the bugs and handling of certain sites needs to be fixed but over all I like the combination of good features from all the browsers.

i agree taco.. it needs to accept add on's ala firefox. with adblocker plus for firefox it has changed the was i surf.. SO much nicer. and it would be great to see some of these features built in to the chrome.

I've been a Firefox guy for years, but just bought a MacBook Pro and downloaded Chrome based on good reviews. Not a fan. It's like it forgets that it's connected to the internet or something. It'll work fine for a minute or two, then I'll try to click on a link and I just get the spinning wheel/thinking animation. If I open up Safari, everything is fine, so it's not a connection issue. Downloading Firefox now, so it's not a big deal, but I was just wondering if you guys know of or have experienced any issues running Chrome on OSX...

I don't use any apple products at this time. I have also never seen any of this on the Windows side. Chrome has repeatedly tested as one of the fastest browsers so I would probably look if any plugins or other applications could be causing issues.

To be honest, one of the biggest advantages that I love about Chrome is the screen real estate usage. Even with the changes to the other browsers, they still have too much crap on the screen, which reduces the amount of space the websites can use. Otherwise, Firefox is an awesome browser so I don't feel you are loosing out on much by using it.

I like Chromium, but I'm not a fan of the fact you can't change Tabs On Top, it's not customisable enough for me.

Is this a combo modem/router supplied by your ISP?

Try power cycling (not RESET) the router by shutting in down and unplugging cables for a good two minutes.

The modem and router are separate, and neither was provided by Cox. I did a basic reset on my router (unplug for ~30 secs & plug back in) before I read your previous post and it seems to be working fine now. Posting this from the MacBook using Chrome.

Mine's a Netgear as well. It's maybe 2-3 years old. I have to reset it occasionally, but not to the point that it becomes annoying...

Identical problem with a Netgear router, swapped it for another Netgear and everything went swimmingly from then on..
