What we learned about the Skins in Week 1

Post by Screw_Michigan »

* Coming out flat and getting completely buried in the first quarter, both offensively and defensively, can and will cost you the game.

* Skins WRs won't run to the sticks on 3rd and long and Zorn doesn't seem to have a problem with that, neither does he with putting out 3 WRs on third and long.

* Laron Landry will get a little lower next time he tries to stop a freight train like Jacobs again.

* Campbell needs to check off his intended receiver once in a while.

* Once again, Clinton Portis is completely out of shape and huffing on the O2 mask on second down because he refuses to play in the preseason. It takes him at least a quarter to get up to speed.

* Skins corners were torched most of the night and seemed absolutely clueless in that dreadful first quarter.

Bottom line, offense did nothing to disprove the fact they don't seem to have it together yet. And nothing sucks more than seeing passes on 3rd and long end up 10 yards short of the sticks.

In other words, they are who we thought they were.

The Skins O-line is overrated, no running lanes and constant pressure.

The D-line is non-existent.

The secondary dropped at least 3-4 INTs. Do they even practice catching a football?

Portis busted Kiwanuka's ass on that block. He blocks better than the entire O-line. He seemed to be the only player on offense that had a clue as to which direction he was supposed to be going.

I am losing my patience will Campbell. At least he did not throw any INTs, although Moss bailed his ass out on one. He has too much hesitation before throwing the ball. I do not know if this is because the midget WRs cannot get open, the Dline is blocking his view, or he is too slow to read a D.

All in all, it seems like the same shit from last season.
