Nice PI call. Refs once again, right on the spot ... 5 minutes later. Jeebus.

4 TDs scored in the first qtr...don't think anybody saw that coming. I'll bet they've already reached the over.

Without a doubt, the most exciting, must-watch game of the season. This has the potential to be the greatest game in the history of college football.

Even if they get behind by another 3 touchdowns, they will dominate in the second half.

Actually, ND is in the Pac 10. And the SEC and the Big XII and the Big 10, all rolled into one, only better. Can't you see how members of this ND team resemble members of the 1988 championship team?

Are they whining about it?

If so, expect an assrape.

If, not, they could make it interesting.

For the resord, I'm watching the SC/Ga game. Have no interest in this one.

McGuffie is about ready to take this game over...the Irish need to wrap him up because he's getting better with each carry.

On the other side, gotta prevent the big plays in the passing game. Claussen brought them back in the game last week and so far he's been able to make big plays with his arm. I would've expected more out of the combo of Trent and Warren but so far Claussen has gotten the better of them with the deep ball.

What a first half. The M offense looks the best it has all year. I think the refs blew the call on the would be long td catch by Matthews. I thought he had his hand under the ball. Hopefully the D will take over the second half.

First 5 minutes was about the worst I've ever seen.

Hate to see Weiss get taken out on the sideline like that, that's gonna hurt. If his knee isn't torn up then his leg is broken. Nasty stuff either way.

McGuffie is a stud.

Weis gets his leg taken out on the sideline and ends up in crutches and a cast. Then the question posed to him is, "what hurts?" Are you fucking kidding me?

Nasty collision with his guy then all that girth falls down on the leg as it bent the wrong way...maybe he and Brady can send each other 'Get Well' wishes.

More insightful commentary, from Pat Sajak:

"Maybe Charlie and his protege, Tom Brady, can rehab together."

I'm surprised he's not down in the locker room, rubbing down Weis, himself. Good God, what an asshat.

The weather has slowed down the Irish passing game...Michigan has had a key fumble down near the end zone. I think Michigan has been the better team on the field but the turnovers have been killers.

Another friggin' turnover...

I can at least point to the breakout performance by McGuffie as the one big positive from today. These teams are pretty much equal but the big edge for the Irish is the quarterback play and ball protection. Even when the weather wasn't a factor in the first half, you just can't turn the ball over and give the other team a short field. Notre Dame didn't really need to break a sweat to get that 21-0 lead. The big plays through the passing game and the 5 turnovers were the difference today.

Next week, Notre Dame is going to have their hands full with Ringer and if State can avoid the mistakes Michigan made today...I expect a Spartan victory up in East Lansing.

The schedule only gets tougher for the Wolverines after the bye next week. Big Ten play begins with games against Wisconsin and Illinois. They better have a couple of good weeks of practice or they'll be looking at a 1-4 start.

Holy Turnovers!!!

I don't know if Threet's hurt but Sheridan shouldn't even be allowed to hold the clipboard. This guy is not a division 1 qb. Throws like a girl and has no presence.

Congrats ND.

I don't care about the conditions, those were two horrible throws that results in interceptions. Threet has distanced himself from Sheridan with his game today but I don't really feel any better about their QB situation going forward.

I thought Threet looked competant for the most part. The backwards pass for the first turnover was bad and contributed to the first quarter meltdown, but he ran the offense pretty well. I think the zebras missed the call on an apparent Mathews score that would have tightened things up in the second quarter. The turnovers were unacceptable, holy shit, hold onto the damn ball. Michigan was in the red zone all day long.

McGuffie is still a stud.
