poker night buddies won 350k 2 1/2 weeks ago in Tulsa.
apparently he got in on a 50 dollar satellite, came in 2nd..moved on to the next satellite finished 3rd and then finished 2nd in tulsa at a 3million dollar tourney.
he said he got to sit next to chris ferguson for about an hour before the table got broken up. Ferguson got knocked out after hitting a fullhouse with a flop of A1010, the guy who called his all in had pocket 10s. he said the casino errupted when the quads got flipped over. My friend on the other hand..the last hand, they were about even in chips, he had pocket kings...went all in after a couple of raises from both of them...the leader had aces. they held up.
pretty wild. one of the reasons why my home games dissolved was because people thought he and i were cheating..we were always the last 2 at the majority of the games.
still pretty wild ..a ranch hand buying in for 50 bucks..and turning it into 350 large.

I feel you on that account. The best group of solid players I have ever had broke up for the same reasons. Kept coming down to me and two other guys (occasionally a fourth snuck in) . Sort of killed the enjoyment for everyone else. :(
