actually the Frogs have won 4 of 5 at Owen Field. if there is anybody else with a record that good in Norman I'd be surprised.

96, c'mon. that year OU didn't even win a game in Norman. they did beat Texas, though. actually losing to Tulsa in Norman was much worse than TCU.

Mundane trivia: I was on the sidelines and in the Oklahoma locker room for the 1976 Orange Bowl. I was in the 8th grade and it was really fun. But I also realized then that I would never play major college football, those guys were big and fast.

Mundane trivia, part 2: I never did play college football, but I did play lacrosse at TCU. TCU's very first lacrosse game was against Oklahoma, which TCU won 16-11. After the game, both teams drank beer with the few fans until the kegs went dry.
you must mean the 75 Orange Bowl against Michigan (an OU MNC). in 76 there was a three way tie for the Big 8 and i believe Colorado lost to Ohio State in the 76 Orange Bowl.

Club sports are great like that. i grew up with the kid of the founder of OU's club rugby team (an English prof) and his son and i worked at the same record store in HS. lotta beer for OU rugby.

i think you guys play a good game. historically OU tends to play poorly the week before or after the game in the Cotton Bowl....you guys are ranked, not sure i'd mail in the 50 point drubbing.
