Probably the best TV series. EVER.

I didn't start watching until about a week ago. Hey, unrack me for thinking this was just another bullshit TV series. I was told by relatives for months I had to check it out.

My gf and I downloaded the entire season via iTunes on Friday, burned them to DVD (as data DVDs -- not playable DVDs -- as iTunes software prohibits that -- bastards), then transferred the episodes via DVD to my Mac, as her hard-drive was running out of space and each episode is a little over 500MB. That was an operation in and of itself, but to make a long story short, I've got the Mac synched to the TV and we've been watching a marathon over the last two days.

This show is like the best aspects of Lost, Carnivale and The Shield all in one, plus super-powers.

And when I first started reading about the bad guy in this show, I was freaked out for a day. Without a doubt, the most evil, twisted, fucked-up antagonist, ever.

That being said, I can't wait for that fucker to be killed by and number of the protagonists, some more "good" than others.

Hmm...that's where I am right now. I'll check it out on your recommendation, though

it is. local church in elkhart took out a bunch of billboards using "heroes" to spread the word. next thing you know, RF is going to be back up in this bitch talking about how grey's anatomy is worthwhile viewing.

actually, there's worse than heroes. but not much.

Watch the first episode online when you have about 45 minutes to kill sometime.

That's nice.

Here's a more important question, before you go clacking away again: Have you ever actually watched the show?

I'll settle for a simple Y (as in "yes") or N (as in "no"), given that your comprehension to offer a critique is slightly below my retarded cat, who doesn't know when to eat.

All you have to do is type Y or N. C'mon, sport, you can do it.

Good show. Of course it is on the same time slot as 24, but if you don't have tivo it replays at 7:00 on the Sci-fi channel on the friday following.

In case you didn't know.

The Sci-Fi Channel is part of the "upgraded digital" Cox package here. :meds:

Dio, I'm glad somebody who gets it -- in the sense of the bigger picture -- knows what I'm talking about.

Of course, I suppose it's a bit different having to wait, week-to-week, as opposed to watching the entire series, without commercials, from the start. I was able to watch the better part of nine months of shows (with a big break inbetween), within a few days. Fantastic.

Actually, probably the best $42 we've ever spent for the iTunes season pass, given that it's less than $2 an episode, without commercials.

While I still watch 24, Heroes kicks 24's ass. 24, is entertaining, but is filled with too much eye-rolling stupidity to make it quality.

24 is good brain candy. It's like a soap opera for Tom Clancy fans.

Heroes is better than Lost, and I've been watching Lost since the beginning.

The thing that's frustrating for me about Lost is that there continue to be more and more questions raised, on an exponential level, and there are about 10,000 of them by now that have yet to be answered, including some basic fucking premises.

Heroes at least has a few episodes that actually have a beginning and an ending, in the same show. Not there aren't surprises on Heroes. Like I said, Heroes has a lot of the best aspects of Lost.

Dude, check out the first episode, in the link I posted earlier. That alone ... I'd venture to say .. is a work of art.

Will do...guy at work cant stop talking about it.. was going to DVR espisodes but figured I should start at the beginning.

As for LOST- I actually like that it's been a never-ending question-raising show..the show is unique that way and keeps you guessing. Did you happen to catch the lost episode?

Sure, I watch it every week. Tape it for my gf (we're still in the dark ages here with a VCR, outside of the computers).

I'm not saying it's a bad show, just that the writers are taking way too long to answer one question before presenting 10 more. It's frustrating as a viewer, especially because that shit is going on in about 10 different storylines.

The next two episodes may prove me wrong, but at this point I seriously doubt the finale will have me "talking all summer." More like rolling my eyes and waiting for the fall, to get some basic shit resolved ... as in, you name it. Throw me a bone. Anything. I'm going with the flow, but damn. LOST used to be a swift stream and now, it's a deep, meandering river, with a lot of extraneous bullshit.

Maybe it's just because Heroes moves faster, or is more grounded in reality. The latter is probably more true, as one of the best aspects of the show for me is to see how the spouses and friends of the characters with abilities react when the main characters reveal their abilities. That to me is fascinating, and sparks the imagination, as much as having special abilities itself.

I'm looking forward to the last two episodes of both. Taping with the monitor off the second-to-last episode of Heroes now, as Game 4 of the Spurs-Suns is about to start. I'll watch Heroes after this game, which could determine the series.

Priorities.

Beginning of 3rd season, in about 10 minutes. Previews look awesome.

They are reairing this season's episodes on Thursday nights on SciFi. 2-hour premier tonight. This does not suck.

it's OK. i'd probably lean to Lost if i had to choose between the two.

imma wait for it to show on hulu.com or a few epis in hit up my buddy for torrents, i can't take the 20 minutes per hour of commercials. 2 hours of Heroes: 40 minutes of commercials.

does ANYONE in TV history get played more than Mohinder?

There's this very cool thing called the DVR that pretty much allows you to watch TV commercial free.
