Spaeking of schedules... this year is weirding me out.

Traditionally, the PAC teams get their 3 OOCs out of the way to start the season, with obvious exceptions for those with ND games.

This season's opener, is UDub @ Autzez.

I do remember opening with Stanford in the last few years, but I seem to recall that Stanford had ND on the schedule (I could be mistaken, without looking it up). I understand altering the conference schedule to accomodate Notre Dame (no problem with that), and I realize UDub has ND on their schedule...

But Oregon/UDub is a huuuuuuge rivalry game. That's like the one time you might actually see real violence at a non-Oregon State game in the Northwest... whole lotta hatred in this one. Oregon fans will just about universally list UDub as the #1 rival (both being honest, and taking a huge poke at OS fans), and UDub fans feel similarly. Heck, I believe last season was UofO/UDub game #100.

Opening with the archrival is weird. I see UDub being better than last year... but they ain't winning in Eugene.

But I'm guessing there's not too many people, including old timers, who can remember Oregon and Washington hooking it up on a warm/hot summer day. Gonna be a lot of Seattlites coming down for the festivities... the one time Oregon fans don't welcome rival fans with open arms (besides the Sheepfuckers).

I'm looking into my ticket hookup, but it's not looking good, and I'm not going to break the bank to go... although I'm freaking dying to be there. Should be a heck of a fun day, especially being a night game (freaking love the occasional night game, but usually makes for some severely drunk fucks at the stadium... and drunk Fuskies tend to like to fight, so there is that).

Is it Saturday yet?

And always remember...

Oregon's game at Purdue should be pretty interesting. I'm definitely digging some of the Big Ten/Pac 10 matchups this season.

Rack that game being on national television.

12+ straight hours of football is not going to suck this Saturday.

Btw, I'd strongly suggest bookmarking the site that PSUFAN posted at the start of this thread.

As long as the Bejing authorities haven't hijacked it, it's usually outstanding, week to week.

Even though it might be a 28 point drubbing early?

But... hard for the networks to say no to such a bitter, nasty rivalry on Opening Day.

Worked with one of my Duckfan buddies today -- he's working on getting his supersecret homey hookup tix... I'm crossing my fingers.

He also thinks having a Saturday Night game, during summer, hosting UDub is just freaking nuts, and drunken-idiot-problems waiting to happen... which is why we want to go so badly.

Score might not be close (although today on the radio, Bellotti said Jake Locker terrifies him), but it's going to be a barnburner either way. There's going to be a whole lot of hate flying around Saturday Night, way too much this early in the season.

I'm fucking feeling some football in the air. Hell, I can freaking taste it as I type this. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, eh?

Don't be a dick -- Oregon State was promoted to 1A like 2 years ago... cut them some slack.

Good link for anyone using Sopcast or other P2P streams:

Anybody needing the client software - Sopcast and TVU both work really well:

Fucking RACK the hell out of KCScott.

I'd been getting free cable (don't tell the cable cops) in my apartment since I moved in and it got shut off last Friday. I came in here to check out the forum, saw your post and was able to watch games all weekend. So thanks.
