Auburn is not good. They lost to a decent but not very good LSU and then should have lost to Tennessee, but for that terrible QB/RB exchange with Crompton and Foster giving Auburn the TD.
Vandy has beaten Miami (OH), Rice, Ole Miss, and South Carolina? And the SC and Ole Miss games were close.
ESPN should have stayed in Bristol this week. Although, having been to Nashville for a night before heading to Knoxville in 2006, I can't blame them for wanting to make the trip. I know I'd go.

If the Corn hadn't gone and shit down their leg against Va. Tech, GameDay would be setting up shop in Lincoln.Adelpiero wrote:wow

Still the place to be, imo.

Hey, I think it's kinda cool they're giving Vandy some recognition. They'll probably never be back. Seriously...does anybody give a shit about Gameday anyway?Sudden Sam wrote:Madison's not a bad place to be.
Is it?
Maybe some of the GameDay producers/powers are country music fans.
I just think the other two games are better, more exciting matchups...fwiw.

It's somewhere new. The Vandy fans will be ion full froth and put on a good show. Plus, when will they have another chance to go there?

Let's also remember ESPN signed a gazillion dollar contract with the SEC so you think they are not going to go to any and every SEC game they can...

Dudley Field is on campus and there's some fun campus area bars, live music venues and campus-y restaurants in the immediate area just east of the Vandy campus. Downtown Nashville has revitalized quite a bit in the last decade or more.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:Good point. Nashville is a good time.
additionally, for the actual "Game Day" staging there will tons of fans of other SEC teams--as Nashville is a hub in that part of the South. be a lot of Tennessee fans, too. They won't have to worry about numbers or "atmosphere".

Madison’s a great place to be, but I agree with the idea that Nashville might be a once in a lifetime shot. Badger fans are pretty juiced by the 11:00 AM (CST) start times. By 7:00 PM they’ll be a fucking hot mess.Sudden Sam wrote:Madison's not a bad place to be.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:Yes, but not many.Any better games this weekend?

the Parthenon isn't on the Vandy campus; though, it is nearby. It's in a city park.Sudden Sam wrote:There was work being done on Vandy's "Parthenon" when I took my son to Nashville years ago so we weren't able to go inside, but that is one impressive building:
