They clam up and get dusted in the playoffs every time they face the Red Sox. It's an easy sweep each time. Scoscia looks like a complete buffoon vs. Boston in the playoffs. They have some pretty good hitters, but overall the lineup is not as good as Boston's. I don't know how they do it- Boston just has these random fuckos who get on base and score runs, and the rotation always looks bleak but then come October somehow Beckett channels Sandy Koufax and throws like 3 one-hit, 12 strikeout performances per series and that's all they need. Fuck Boston.
Plus, Francisco Rodriguez stands on the mound and jacks off in his own mouth after every save, even a routine 3 run lead, 1 inning save, and he has blown seven this year and isn't as "lights out" as people make him out to be. But rubbing out a furious load into his own esophagus and then pointing to the sky and screaming after each save is going to come around and bite him in the ass. Karma is a bitch.
You're in for a HUGE letdown if you think they are going to just mow through the playoffs. I see them sweeping the Rays in round one, being overconfident and then losing in five if not getting swept by Boston in the ALCS.
