I thought Bo was going to ressurect the Corn?

Down 21-0 at OU, 10:00 to go in the 1st quarter. Pretty easy to talk a lot of trash when you're piling on Western Michigan to open the season. I, for one, will enjoy this ass-kicking. Hopefully OU will put up 70 like they did on aTm in 03.

Bo is redshirting almost the entire freshman class so that he can work with players that he recruited. Until then, we are stuck with a lot of 'athletes' that look the part, but lack heart, smarts, skills or all of the above. There is a reason that he's not given out the blackshirts yet... because he'll give them when they deserve it. They are obviously not deserving yet.

Enjoy it. I'm enjoying Michigan stinking up the joint this year because they're not going to make a bowl and they were so close to breaking Nebraska's bowl streak record, which is 35. Michigan had 33. Next up is Florida State, which has 26.

S_M hates Michigan more than anybody on here...so that's possibly not the most effective angle to play there, AL. The nick "Screw Michigan" might've tipped you off.

he's happy michigan is sucking it up, because it stops their bowl record of 33 straight. Nebraskas was stopped at 35.

I really don't have anything against NU. In fact, I'll give Corn fans their props. When I went to the WMU-NU watch party here in DC, all the Cron fans were pretty cool. I was the ONLY WMU fan in attendance, and no one jumped on my shit, no shit talking from across the room, no intimidation, no nothing. In fact, I ended up sharing a table with a former UVA player and four other NU grads before the game was over. They were all really cool ("Kalamazoo? That's the funniest name for a city ever!") and welcoming. The thing that really busted my chops was all the chest thumping about how Bo was going to lead the Cron to the Big 12 title game this year and make up for the humiliations to KU, etc., last season. . :meds: Sure, having Bo is light years better than having BC around, and having Dr. Tom back is even better, but let's keep it in perspective here, folks. I love my Broncos, but they not nearly on par to helping prove yourself on the way back to respectability.

Yeah, I figured that one. I mentioned Michigan because it just reminded me of who I'm enjoying losing this year. Last year, it was Notre Dame because... well because I hate them.

I'd like to know WHERE these people might be. I've been in Nebraska WAY TOO long and I've yet to cross paths with ANYONE that expected NU to go to the Big 12 Champ. game this season.

I'm sure those people exist, but I don't know any of them. I was predicting 8 or 9 wins. They could easily get 7 (CU and KSU) and win a bowl to get to 8. They could beat KU (not likely) and get to 8 before the season is over. I was hopeful, but trying to be realistic. Some fans just had so much shell shock from the last four years that they were way too hopeful because of what he did last time here. They forget that he inherited a defense in 03 that already had some good skills and were team players. These guys were taught little skill and recruited on the promise to get prepared for the NFL.

The Corn has the same problem the Buffs have: not enough good players

Bo is a better coach than Hawk, though, and he has a better coaching staff too. Hawkins is too full of bullshit to see his own flaws. I don't see Pellini having that problem
