I remember those. We were made to get on our knees under our desks and cover our heads with our hands. My grandfather's job - he worked for the joint chiefs - was to assess overall damage and cost throughout the U.S. should a full scale nuclear war take place.
So yeah, it was pretty chilling according to them Marty. I figure they lived through it, so they would know.
