ESPN Gets BCS games!
So Obamanation is going to use his office to get us a playoff. Not for awhile he isn't. The BCS and ESPN are agreeing to a new deal that will move the games from over the air to cable.
Good move. The games never felt right on Fox and ESPN is the home of most of college football anyway.

Heard they were going after them.
i guess that only leaves Fox with the Cotton Bowl.

BCS games not being on broastcast television: SUCKS. No matter how you slice it. Which means a buffet of the same five AC/DC songs entering commericals and all the other bullshit ESPN provides to a telecast.
Fox wasn't the best, and having Joe Buck not involved with the BCS won't suck at all, but having the BCS on cable TV is just fucking bullshit. Believe it or not, some people actually don't have cable tv.
Does this include the Rose Bowl? Heaven for fucking bid if the Rose Bowl is cable-only.

Well America is going Digital come 2009, so i think rabbit ears will be over with.
Any basic digital cable package includes ESPN and ESPN2.
I think that is why the BCS is finally entertaining the idea of ESPN.

You can have the digital converter box and still not subscribe to cable, that's my point.Mr T wrote:Well America is going Digital come 2009, so i think rabbit ears will be over with.

The AC/DC songs don't bother me nearly as much as the inane drivel/commentary you get spoonfed during the games, when they obviously haven't the faintest fucking clue what they're talking about. Otherwise, rack it.Screw_Michigan wrote:BCS games not being on broastcast television: SUCKS. No matter how you slice it. But what about all those people who only have the old movie flip card machine thingys? What did you call those things when you were a kid, Mace?Believe the Heupel wrote:So long as you have an ATSC tuner in your television, you don't even need the converter box. I got to agree with this take.IndyFrisco wrote:But what about all those people who only have the old movie flip card machine thingys? What did you call those things when you were a kid, Mace?
Shit if you cant afford cable, then go to a restaurant, bar, or a buddies house to watch it.
I am sure you can get it on radio if all else fails.

STFU, crybabies.
You don't have ESPN? You probably don't have a cell phone, either.
I mean, what fucking sports fan doesn't have ESPN?
And save your crying about the announcers and commentators not blowing up your skirts properly. Just turn the volume down. You're among the constantly wailing bitches who most likely voted for Obama, assuming you voted at all.

The agreement reaffirms the norm in sports: TV rights always go to the highest bidder.
Disney-owned ESPN will begin paying $125 million annually for the package.

Re: ESPN Gets BCS games!
I look forward to seeing ESPN introduce a revision of the college instant replay system for BCS bowl games where all disputed calls will be argued by Mark May and Lou Holtz and decided by Rece Davis.
