...that aren't wearing orange?

What's up, forum? I'm hangin' my balls out there. We're blowing Tech out.

...and, in the event that I don't show up immediately afterwards, don't worry, I'll be back eventually, and, win or lose, I'm still an idiot.

i don't know. i'm a big fan in two theories:

1. m2 can suck it about taco bell, since he's never been to Taco Mayo
2. when ou fan is overconfident lately, it's bad news.

i like OU to win it against Tech at home but anyone thinking the next week in Stillwater is a gimme is crazy.

I think OU wins in Norman but I wouldn't look for a blow-out. OU's D is not up to usual standards, TTech will put up points.

Venables has sold out to the blitz even earlier this year than usual. Tech will score on OU. Boise and WVU didn't have trouble figuring out OU's blitzes for the bowl games. though, the OU team that lost to Boise was hardly "vintage".

i try and like OU at home, but no lead will be safe in this 4 1/2 hour game.

Yes, tceh will most definitely score. The key for OU defense is to not cover any receiver more then 8 yards from the line of scrimmage as that's about as far as Harrell ever throws it.

my edit, that's kind of how McCoy beat OU. always the short throw/conversion over the middle (especially after Reynolds got hurt).

you press the zone or man up on McCoy i'm not sure he can beat you enough times. however, OU's db's look confused enough most of the time....i think Leach will score on us.

I think that OU wins this game. It took a miraculous play for Tech to beat Texas in Lubbock. It also took a dropped interception and a dropped TD by Shipley. I think that Tech is going to try and run it early, much like Texas did against OU. Harrell can and will throw it over 8 yards. He has a decent arm and the speed on the outside to get down field. With that being said, I do not think Tech can stop OU...period. It will be an up and down game but OU will prevail.

I see it:

OU 52
Tech 43

OU will roll into Stoolwater and wax the pokes.

Texas is going to make a statement against A&M.....think about it......National TV audience......Colt needs a huge game, ala Reggie Bush against Fresno St. in 2005, to impress the voters. Mack needs to punish A&M to keep the BCS ranking in tact.

For 1 day only...BOOMER SOONER.

God, I am going to be fucking sick........ :hfal:

a statement? what it is: a top 5 team against a bad team.

Texas wins the head to head against OU, UT wins...I won't cry if they play Missouri....but this is still kind of a funny post. no ones thinks beating ATM is a big win.

Right, just like 77-0 was not a statement game in 2003...and 56-6 by Florida over USC on Saturday was not a statement game. The voters want to see a team hitting on all cylinders at the end of the season. Pummeling A&M on National TV will make a statement. It is also a rivalry game. Are they a good team? No. But who cares, we need to beat them and beat them bad. If Colt has a massive game....like 30-36 440 6 TD's and Runs for another 70 then all the voters will remember is that he had over 500 yards of offense on National TV. Just like Bush against an inferior Fresno St team in 2005.....Texas needs to leave an impression so that we keep our BCS ranking and Colt gets more votes for the Hypesman.

I really do not think that is a move to a better job. If it was between Clemson and TT, he will stay in Lubbock. I think Leach will end up at either Tennessee or Washington.

I expect A&M to lose badly in Austin. And no hard feelings on the running up of the score. With the shitty BCS system in place, class is thrown out the window. Sucks but it is the way you have to play. t.u. will run it up, but the last drive of the game, they'll sit on it. That's about as much "class" as there is to be expected.

I just hope to see our kids play hard the whole game. If we're still in it by halftime, I will consider it a "quality loss".

He could go to Tennessee and compete against UF, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn on a year in and year out basis. He could go to Washington and try to rebuild a team that is in horrible shape, and then try to compete against USC, Cal, Oregon, etc.

Or he could go to Clemson and take over a team that has a decent amount of talent, and in a conference that has no dominate team. He could have Clemson to a BCS level in 2 years, and keep them there.

Ironically, just about every time somebody posits that, you wind up with a defensive battle. Both these teams can play a little defense now and then.

I'll go OU 31-23

it was 77-0 in the 3rd quarter. OU had players falling down on purpose in the red zone. the clock ran continuously in the 4th.

Sorry Harv, but a "statement game" would have been the easy 100 OU could have scored that day.

I watched the game. It was a complete beating. When the Bowl invites came out, who played for the Championship that year? Did they mention the 77-0 game? Yes they did. It catches peoples attention. That's the point.

Dude - I hate to say this, but when most of these Big 12 games have O/U's set at 80+ points - well - there's no defense. :D
by "most", you mean what?

I'd invite you to list Big XII games with an O/u under of 80.

we all know what you are saying, but what you claim is stupid.

either list the o/u of Big XII games ("most of them") or admit you are wrong. and you'll need to prove by "most" that all the Big XII games are considered (and more than 50%)...which is all games scheduled since conference play began.

i don't think you can do it.

I don't think it will be a mudhole type game. Mack Brown generally does not run it up on other teams. Besides I thought Texas was supposed to demolish A&M the lastt two years as well.

I was at the FSU-GT game this year. Bobby Dodd is a nice little stadium. FSU was about 40% of the fans though, Tech doesnt get a good following. Should turn around though with what Johnson is doing for them.

I miss the FSU-GT games. Was always a close game. Fuck the ACC keeping FSU from playing its closest in conference rival.

IF OU can get by Okie State, this game is in NO WAY a gimmie. A virtual home game for your Tigs, Bro.

And yes ... as much as I hate to say it, no matter who is meeting your team at Arrowhead, I will be cheering for Mizzou, for the GOOD of CFB.
