good deal for the blues.
TJ oshie, when he comes back needs 2nd line time.
lee stempniak will make 3.5 mil next season, way too much money for a 15-20 goal scorer
the dman has ton of potential, he stays healthy, the blues really steal this deal
steen is a wash

It isn't an earth-shaking dealing but they did well in moving a contract. Stempniak had a solid '06-07 season with 27 goals but his goal total was cut in half last year.
The Blues looked like they ready to make a push for the playoffs with their start out of the gate but they've fallen to last place in the division. They haven't really gotten the offensive production on defense to make up for the loss of Johnson but they've gotten good starts to the season out of Boyes, Tkachuk and Berglund.
Kariya was one of the early leaders in scoring but hasn't played since early this month and McDonald got hurt as well.
Any talk of Murray's job being in trouble?
