Are we raising a society full of pussies? This is a rivalry and hate should be a part of it. As a Yankee fan I teach my kids that we hate the Sox and should never root for them. Respect them yes...root for them, fuck no. What a crock.

Handshakes after a hockey playoff series is tradition and a respected practice. I'm not down with some phony display before a game. If they're going to do it, be spontaneous about it and don't announce it.

Free agency has brought the level of hatred down several notches. Who would have pictured Clemens in pinstripes or Wells wearing the #3 for the Sox? That being said, I still hate the Yankees and I'm sure some players do as well. The ones that don't will still bullshit before the games and the ones that do will not.

Why is it that it's been the Red Sox that have lined up to take their swings at A-Rod and the rest of the Yankees? They got their world series....finally....but it's like it wasn't enough. Even though the Yankees just let it all slide, don't think for a second that it doesn't bother them. Best be careful, Boston. Disturbing the Yankees is like disturbing America. Ask Japan.
