Re: Auburn-Alabama
Sam,
Auburn is 5-6 on the season and you think Bama is going to have a fight on their hands? Alabama is the #1 ranked team in the USA, ahead of (insert your Big 12 team here) and Florida...they should crush Auburn IMO.

Re: Auburn-Alabama
based on relevance, i'd call that Colorado-Nebraska right now today....no impact on the national scene since 01. not a great week for "Rivalry Week"....ATM-UT, CU-NU, Bama-Auburn, UF-FSU...all big double digit spreads.Sudden Sam wrote:
I was just sent a link where Fox Sports named this game as their #1 over-rated rivalry. Why? Because it's very seldom that both teams are doing well. Huh? So? WTF does that have to do with it being a monstrous rivalry? It wouldn't matter if both schools were 0-11 going in...it'd still be the most intense mutha of a game you've ever seen.

Thank you for telling me that! It is changed, I really think Bama is going to make a statement here. Saban knows the world of CFB will be watching his team.Sudden Sam wrote:I agree. They should crush Auburn. And I'm praying for it, but I don't expect it to happen.TheChief wrote:Sam,

This game is notorious for being played close to the vest. Too cautious. Too nervous.
Hell, you picked AU to cover!
And by the way...I hope your logic applies to UF too...could they be over looking FSU and onto the SEC championship? I sure hope so...but I fear a blow out. I know, I know...I picked FSU to cover...call it wishful thinking.

Re: Auburn-Alabama
in 2000, in it's last regular season game an undefeated #1 OU team was played to a 12-7 outcome in Stillwater by a 3-7 OSU team with a lame duck coach in Bob Simmons....and needed a last second tipped pass in the endzone by freshman Derrick Strait to hold on in the final seconds.
i don't there's any way Bama loses this one in T-Town.

Re: Auburn-Alabama
I watched the Auburn-WVU games in its entirety and they got shredded against possibly the only good offense they've played all year. Overrated. What other good offenses have even tested them? Bama will score 25+ points on them.Sudden Sam wrote:Auburn's defense is damn good.

Re: Auburn-Alabama
This game is over once Bama gets into double figures. Auburn cannot score vs nearly anyone and Bama brings the D.
But I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Auburn-Alabama
It's not a bad pick at all. You're at home in a rivalry game and you have a very good defense, so I don't think UF will find it very easy to score points.TheChief wrote:I picked FSU to cover...call it wishful thinking.

Re: Auburn-Alabama
Depends on which defense shows up...I hope you guys are right. Can FSU really compete with what many consider the best team in America? Saturday should tell all Nole fans, how far we have come and how far we've got to go.MuchoBulls wrote:It's not a bad pick at all. Sorry to hijack your thread Sam, I'll shut up now!
Re: Auburn-Alabama
cheering for Auburn but I dont like either team
Re: Auburn-Alabama
I think Auburn keeps it close for a while but their lack of anything that could be called an O keeps them from seriously threatening.
Oregon vs Oregon State is the best of the big rivalry games coming-up. Should be a barnburner, GO BEAVERS.

You might actually try watching a CFB game.

Bama will win on the opening kickoff return. No contest this year. Sorry Teletubbies!

Yeah I think Bama could have a fight on their hands.
Bama has absolutely no passing game what so ever. The only thing Allbarn does proficiently is stop the running attack.

We will find out how good both teams are today.
FSU is young and a season away from being back but I think they can give the gates a game unless they pull what they did versus Wake and BC.
