Congrats Sam Bradford

Post by campinfool »

On your new trophy. As much as it sucks to see a Sooner win over McCoy there is no shame in losing to a player as great as he was this year. Seems like a good humble kid and I think he was a deserving winner. But on the other hand, combine the Heisman curse and Big Loss Bob on the sideline and I now thinks the Sooners are fucked next month.

There is no such things as a Heisman curse in a National Championship game.

Tebow is going to play like a madman on the 8th...that was probably the worst thing to happen for the Sooners. Tebow will probably shrug off not winning it but deep down, he'll get his revenge on the field. He'll be ready for that game. GatorFan shouldn't be disappointed that he didn't win because the real prize is that glass football.

i think more than anything Stoops D's have struggled against run-pass QB's....over the years. Heisman prove it may be part of it, but the sackful of 3rd and long conversions by a running QB you typically see in an OU loss under Stoops is more than a jinx. its' a trend.

Actually, the real prize is the signing bonus each will take to the bank after draft day.

I'm guessing the pussy that comes along with winning a Heisman isn't a bad prize either. Except Tebow since he's all religious and shit.

I seriously doubt that any of those three guys have had a problem in that area for the past few years.....Heisman or no Heisman.

tebow's a guy i don't understand. he doesn't throw that well, and he's not actually that quick. it was annoying last year to hear about how great he was b/c of all those rushing td's since it discounted the fact he was also their starting fullback, but shit, at the end of the day he gets it done. pretty funny how quickly people discount any of ttech's qbs as system guys even though meyer's system is exactly what allows this guy to thrive.

i think the reason i responded to this post specifically was to say dealing with tebow isn't the same as facing the usual pass/run guy. it's more to do with meyer and the fact he'll take yards from anywhere.

As jinxed as the Heisman tends to be I was hoping Tebow would get it then throw a couple picks in the bowl. Doesn't look good for OU now.

I've always wondered what a "sooner" was, or what the term meant.

I'm now enlightened...

It's from an ancient variant of the Latin language, and the literal translation is...

"FOR GOD'S SAKE, SHUT THE FUCK UP BILLY SIMS!!!!!"

Tebow doesn't throw picks. Heisman or no Heisman.

I like Bradford...great season...but I think McCoy shoulda won it.

Even though all 3 dudes were qualified, I think you take McCoy off the Texas roster and they are lucky to be going to the Independence Bowl.

Sounds like this bit might have some legs.
