When not in Lubbock, Tech isn't very good.

Playing out there may be one of the most difficult places to play. There is nothing between ABQ and DFW except for those games. Props to Ole Miss for the beat down. Sad to see the game moving over to the Jones palace next season.

Of course, Sudden Sam didn't.

Any of the PAC 10's bowl teams would have kicked either TT's or Ole Miss's asses today, easily. See, they play physical football.

Bowl Records:

Big 12 North: 3-0
Big 12 South: 0-2

During the year the Big 12 North's record against the South was 3-15 with one win over a non-Baylor school...and that was a win over aTm. Ain't CFB grand!?

Just goes to show the the Big XII North was entirely underrated and the Big XII South is way overrated.

So what is your point then? Are you saying that the Big XII only has 2 quality teams? That is still twice as many quality teams as the Pac 10, same as the SEC and Big 11.

If you want to claim some sort of ability to predict something give us a link to your bowl pick 'em record, or your regular season pick 'em record. Don't give us a link to a thread in which you put a question mark in the title.

I never said the Big 12 had 2 quality teams.

After Taco Tech's showing today (they finally played a team OOC other than a directional school) that's really up for debate.

You see, I actually like College Football.... for the game of football.

I don't think the "winner" of the game is the one that covers the "spread".... I actually think the game is won on the the field of play. Not in some betting parlor.

But that's just me.

You also don't call your shot beforehand on any meaningful games, outside of Kal myopia, of course. Yet you regularly come in here beating your chest on a whole lot of after the fact.

I've had my doubts about TT since that early season game when they barely got past Nebraska in OT. They're Mizzou, with a better secondary.

So, what does this mean as far as the Big Picture goes?

Some will read into this that the Florida loss wasn't all that bad, afterall. Next to Old Miss, no one enjoyed that game more than Gatorfan. Some will also believe that the Big XII are a fraud. How the fuck did Texas lose to them and how did OU lose to Texas? Fair enough questions, especially coming from USC and PAC 10 honk.

My response is that there's as much unpredictability in CFB as there is in the "any given Sunday" league. You can't read all that much into any one given game. You have to look at the season as a whole. But unfortunately, sans a playoff in CFB, all anyone can do is look at that one given game a top team lost. Then thru comparative analysis, try to come up with the best match-up for the MNC.

Right now, that looks like Florida and USC.

Wags, agree about USC, at least on paper. I'd still throw Texas into the mix as well. Had the Tex-Tech game been in Austin this year, no way is it even close, especially based on today's pathetic defensive performance by TT.

The game today, imo, was lost when Tech ran a QB sneak on 4th and 4 in the 3rd quarter, on their own 40 or something.

WTF were they thinking? Was m2 calling plays on the sidelines for Tech today?

Horrible D by TTech, fail by Leach in keeping McNeil as DC. For the money they ended-up paying Ruffin they could've gotten somebody better, like Phil Bennett. They were tackling like little bitches out there.

Leach just didn't seem prepared for the constant blitzing. WTF was up with Harrell being behind center at the goalline? You knew Miss would bring heat. Have him in shotgun so at-least he can see the rush and ditch the ball rather than take the safety. Tech's wr's falling-down to give-up picks certainly didn't help either, you'd think they weren't wearing cleats as much as they were slipping around.

Way to represent the 12 Leach. Today we didn't see the team that beat Texas and woodshedded OSU. We saw the one that got woodshedded by OU and should've lost to us.

Props to Nutt and Ol Miss on a good game, they weathered a shit-start to come-on and dominate.

as others have alluded to, Tech is a different team on that fast, nearly 80's style turf in Lubbock. it's a good win for Nutt.

Hey .m2,

Notice the "?" at the end of my sentence. That means I was unsure and asking if you thought the Big XII had two quality teams. I then go on to assume that you thought they only had two. If you don't think they have two then I will change that to say that if the Big XII doesn't have two quality teams then no conference in the nation has a quality team. But again bone up on the use of the "?".

I also enjoy college football for college football and don't participate in the pick 'em contest. However, I also don't come in later and claim bode unless I have laid out a clear thought. Asking a question and then claiming bode is crazy and a way to lose board respect (for what that is worth.) But maybe comparing yourself to Nostradamus is perfect. The next prediction of his that is specific will be the first, same as yours.

So, will the country come to the realization for one week that another midwest/eastern conference was over rated all year? A team that beat Texas, who beat Oklahoma just got embarrassed by Ole Miss, who beat Florida. Yea, tell me again how USC can't beat any of these teams. I am surpised I haven't heard that SC wouldn't win a game in the SEC. Fucking retards.

TT can be a different team, FLA can have aslip up" but SC needs to win every game in any condition at any stadium to get a shot.

I don't believe anybody has said or written that. Nothing even close to it, matter of fact.

Somebody hand PISC a tissue, box of. Yeah, we get it. USC is just as deserving of playing for the MNC, if not moreso, than FLA or OU. Happy now? All the wailing and gnashing of teeth isn't going to change the fact that USC won't have a shot at hoisting the crystal football this year. Better luck, and thanks for playing.

But I'll give you credit for at least posting a few clear sentences this time. Much better than the rambling, incoherent, scroll wheel gibberish you're normally good for.

There you go again on your crusade against NFL forum posters and posts.

It's the same fucking BOARD, dumbshit. Many of us post in both forums. Did that fact ever penetrate your abused rectum? Sheesh, even the BBQ sauce mustn't have relieved the friction.

Whose dick did you have to suck to get the admin gig, I_Fellate?
