All four road teams underdogs this weekend

Post by Yer a Fuckin Jerkoff »

Total opposite of last week, when all four were favored, and everyone was running amok and beating their dicks and picking the roadies. On Saturday, both home teams won, and on Sunday, both away teams got the W.

So, if this trend holds true, that means that B'More, Arizona, the Giants, and Pittsburgh will win, right?

Let's call our shots for the Divisional round....

Baltimore at Tennessee- All year, Tennessee has been a smoke and mirrors team to me. Mawae is probably going to play, but he's banged up. The Ravens are healthy and FEELING it. As good a coach as FIsher is, he HAS proven to fuck up golden opportunities and good playoff positioning before. As quality a QB as Collins is, he's not a guy you're going to have too much confidence in. Here's how I see this game- I see all the pressure being on the Titans, and I think they won't be able to handle it. They will try to bank on "home field" and "ball control" and once the game is tied or damn near it through the third, they will get their grip on. Meanwhile, the Ravens have nothing to lose, and they'll play loose. They've fucked around this year with some trick plays, and their looseness will show this Saturday when they run a couple of these bitch gadget plays successfully. Tennessee will be too passive. B'More wins this one 23-19.

Arizona at Carolina- This one isn't as hard to analyze. The Cards are just happy to be here, but unlike the Ravens, they don't have the heart or passion to win this shit. It's going to be in the 40s and rainy Saturday night so expect the entire Arizona team to be whimpering like pussies and getting their asses thrashed.
Panthers 36, Cardinals 21.

Philadelphia at N.Y. Giants-- I keep trying to envision the Giants showing up unprepared for this, but it won't happen. This is one example where the week off will really help a team. The Eagles, on the other hand, are not beat the fuck up and needing rest. They are ready to go, and they came in here in December and controlled the Giants with one of the most perfect games ever- no turnovers, epic ball control, converting third downs up the ass. Well, they did have special teams fuck ups. Field goals will be important, and both Akers and Carney are in the zone right now. I see this being the Giants leading in the fourth quarter by a score, and then the Eagles come back and take the lead and win it with defense. My reasoning is that the Cowboys would beat the fucking shit out of the Giants in this game, but the Cowboys got rolled by the Eagles just a couple weeks ago. Thus, Philadelphia wins here 26-24.

San Diego at Pittsburgh- I watched every minute of the Steelers vs. the Patriots in Foxboro and it was impressive. Then I saw them in that game at home vs. Dallas. This is the one team that can hang with the Cowboys in the playoffs, with an outstanding defense. Dallas shut Pittsburgh down on the ground, but SD's defense isn't as good as Dallas, so Pittsburgh catches a break there. Here's another example of the week off (actually, two weeks off if you think about it) HELPING a team. The fact that the Bolts have had so many weeks back to back where they have HAD to win....it takes a toll. And this week is the week that mentally they just get fucked. Rivers will probably shoot his mouth off at a Steelers player while hiding behind one of his lineman, and he'll mock wave a towel to the crowd even if they are losing. The one guy who could have a big game is Sproles. You saw how Choice cherry pick the Steelers and he's a fast back.
Pittsburgh will probably watch that game film and use to to contain Sproles.

Steelers 16, Chargers 10

So, we're looking at an ALL-East coast Championship Sunday .....

...uh, maybe not...actually the Bolt RUN defense was slightly better statistically than the Cowboys

Bolts...102 yds per game 11 TD's
Boys...106 yds per game 11 TD's

What in the world?!
I am at The One Board right?

Solid post bro.

Mike, when are you gonna get it?

DAL sees, Westbrook, Portis (Held to 68 once) and Jacobs for 5 games (Jacobs out one) and they are still in SD company with some shut downs of some of these fine run games.

SD sees DEN/OAK/KC - Who the fuck was running the ball with any consistency on those teams?
Of the quality run teams SD saw, CAR 142 (Williams and Stew), NO 83 (without Bush), PIT 115 Parker (25 vs DAL) , ATL 120 Turner.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TAKE THE BLINDERS OFF PEOPLE!

Be back with my calls or wishes but they are pretty much as described above.

Yeah, I'm sure it's right up there with his lock-solid guarantee that the Cowboys were going to go virtually undefeated and win the SB this year.

I'm still amazed at the "destiny" calls and the "dangerous" tags SD and PHI are getting, WTF wouldnt' be on a roll playing OAK, KC, TB and DEN down the stretch? Bwahahahahahaha. PHI took some division games in an over rated NFC East, big fucking deal. They know the G-Men so they got a shot. If AZ pulls off an upset they got a shot, but come on, these are not great teams. The Steelers getting on a roll is a completely different story. All you fools running with the idiots in the box with the same sell.

The G-Men aand CAR are on another level as teams. Sure they can be macthed up against by some teams that may be inferior, same with San Diego. Beating IND 4 out of 5 times is supposed to impress us? Laughable. Now they're kinda gritty and I don't expect them to roll over but to think they are going to the big one is just ridiculous imo. The winner of TEN/BAL goes easily if SD punches out the most balanced team in the AFC.

BAL can get on a roll because they know these teams, SD, I just don't see it. A PHI/SD SB would be absolute garbage.

It's coming down to an AFC North showdown for the title game...BAL/PIT

Should be a very good game.

Eagles/Panthers will be a rematch of the '04 NFL showdown except this time in Carolina.

I might be the biggest, shit talking, foul mouthed punk west of the Atlantic Ocean but at least I respond to the football takes with a take for the most part. That is unless some complete fucking idiot had a post that included 80% horseshit like over there in the NCAA football threads, fuck what a bunch of twats over there.

Now why am I not surprised you dodged the response directed towards you?

Come on biotch, come correct or dig up some shit to throw back in my face that matters.

The Chargers beat the shit out of the Titans twice last year and knocked them out of the playoffs. It cost them physically, though. Both games were exceptionally brutal.

I would be more concerned about the Ravens than the Titans.
Yea they must have been heckling Vince Young pretty good those days. Maybe Young's mom wasn't on the side line to console him.

Newsflash, CJ is a rookie.

LOL need a new shovel dipshit? Here now go back and try and dig past the first level of rock shitbrick. You idiots keep coming back with a stat result from your first click and think it means something. This is why you guys suck like some of these broadcasters that blab their blind bullshit.

Last year TEN played the AFC West and vastly inferior (compared to '08) NFC South. This is nearly 8 games where a true run team can steam roll.
Have you not figured out that most other divisions get their stats inflated on the West yet? It's only been happening for, I don't know FUCKING EVER.

This year TEN played the AFC and NFC North, 3 maybe 4 where a run team can epxlode against.

Translation, their shittier run game was able to put up the same number this years stronger could against a tougher schedule. Fucking Lendale White had 121 on SD last year.

NEXT!

LOL - you guys are so clueless and you don't even know it.

Let's get another thing straight too asswipes. What I have ALWAYS claimed to know above you, is who the elite teams are in the league way before you do. Year after year, I do.

Baltimore @ Tennessee
I went back and forth on this one.
Very impressed with the Raven defense.
Finally settled on picking the home team with the experienced coach-QB combo.

Titans win 17-13

Arizona @ Carolina
Don't like the 'Tardinals making the long trip east and maybe not at full strength.
Carolina is more well rounded and PHYSICAL.

Panthers win 27-19

Philadelphia @ NY Giants
NY, off it's Super Bowl win last year, peaked too early this season.
Philly can match the Giants defensively and they, by virtue of having DONE it, know they can win this match-up on the road.
Tough tough game.

Eagles win 23-20.

San Diego @ Pittsburgh
The Steelers will be in Rivers' grille all day long, and SD isn't going to get much going on the ground at all.
No points on the road = no win.
Pittsburgh will do just enough on offense to notch the W.

Steelers win 20-10.

LOL, and the one missed was the one NOBODY saw coming.....'cept this concerned CAR fan. I mean, I didn't think it would happen like that but losing to AZ with the way CAR plays was not out of the question by any means.

LOL another example of an idiot that doesn't READ before he speaks. Pull me the post where I said OSU would beat Texas.

Hoping, wishing a score holds is much different idiot. Regardless if OSU won, they still hung in ther WAY WAY LONGER than they would have against USC, the best team in the country in January AGAIN.

LOL, I don't have jack shit to pull back on from the NCAA. Everything turned out as I expected. The Pac-10 shoved it down everyone's throat and the over rated conferences had their best beat the fuck down by "inferior" oppoenents. Texas looked like shit and then those fucktard red necks are yelping about how they're #1. Yea, that coach deserves a vote. What a fucking idiot.

USC v Utah is the game nobody got to see.

FLA vs OU was a joke. OU's shitty ass defense checking FLA was laughable. USC would have crushed either of these teams with those performances and Utah owned a team that missed it due to an extra title game. The Utes were for real and USC got slammed by the same old Pac-10 inferiority bullshit. LOL!

Whatever makes the coots feel better but we know what's for real out here.
