As long as Tebow Christ comes back next year, they should be the preseason #1 and preseason choice to repeat for the MNC.

Tebow is coming back for his senior year...one more year of the media slobbering over him, brace yourself. Who do you think the preseason pick for the Heisman will be? :?

If McCoy has another year statistically like he had this year and doesn't win the heisman then I'm throwing a brick through the window of the Downtown Athletic Club.

I still think Colt's body of work this year was better than both Tebow and Bradford, but because he didn't get to show off in the championship game he was discounted.

As for Next season as a whole I see no reason why Texas doesn't beat the shit out of everyone on their schedule we return 8 on defense and 9 on offense so there is no excuse for any slip ups. Even if Bradford returns he is going to be throwing to a new set of receivers and being protected by a green offensive line. Tech is losing tons of people and even Missouri is going to be much weaker. About the only game that has me concerned is going up against OSU in stoolwater.

I would love to see Texas and Florida go head to head in Pasadena or even a rematch between USC and Texas but I don't see the latter happening since they are losing their entire defense this year.

I would have liked to have seen that this year ...

... in a playoff, of course.

Depending on Brandon Spikes' decision Florida returns either 10 or all 11 starters on D, plus Tebow and a good chunk of the O. On top of that they're going to receive every last ounce of SECBSH-ism from the media so they will get ALL the benefit of the doubt.

There's no one in the SEC to challenge them in '09 either. Bama won't have as easy a schedule next year and they're losing key people. Georgia's done. Auburn's toast. Tennessee is years away. Ole Miss is a nice little team but they're not going to win the SEC.

LSU is the only possibility and at least the Florida-LSU game will be in Baton Rouge next season but LSU will have to replace way too much on D, their best wide out and offensive linemen and they'll be breaking in another rookie at QB.

Short of injuries Florida will walk through the SEC and it'll take a major upset (or two) to keep them out of Pasadena.

The Big XII is Texas' to lose, even if Bradford returns. If he doesn't, forget about it. If Bradford bails only injuries will stop Texas from winning it next year.

Utah is losing a ton. They're not going to be there at the end next year.

Va Tech? Tyrod Taylor?

Next.

The Big Least minus Pat White isn't even worth discussing.

Nobody's going to be that strong from the Big 10 either. They will receive little to no benefit of the doubt next season. For the first time in awhile the Big 10 likely won't get two BCS spots in '09.

The Pac 10 should be much improved in '09. They can't possibly keep seeing all their QBs get killed...can they?? Otherwise, Oregon should be better from start to finish next season and they get USC in Autzen. Cal will no longer have the Nate Longshore/Kevin Riley distraction. If Jahvid Best can stay healthy Cal will be good despite the loss of all their LBs and Alex Mack. USC will be a mirror image of the '08 team. Assuming Sanchez returns it'll be their offense that'll carry the defense this time, which will have to re-load, big time. It'll be similar to the '05 team, hopefully without so many injuries on defense.

Minus key injuries it looks like Florida vs Texas in Pasadena to me. If Bradford doesn't return it'll be Colt vs Tebow for the Heisman, with possible input from Sanchez, Best, Greene and Sean McCoy.

Colt will get some sympathy love but by and large people are going to be loathe to not give it to Tebow again. The media groundswell for that guy is going to reach unprecedented heights next season if Florida handles their business.

"Greatest CF player EVER!" talk will be jammed down our throats 24/7 by ESPN, just as soon as the beginning of the season approaches. It's going to be completely vomitous.

Many of us will have no choice but to root for Texas to beat Florida, just for that reason. Many people will completely disavow both Christianity and eye black...

RF, yeah, the '01 and '02 Miami teams, the '03 and '04 OU teams and USC in '05.

ESPN does it all the time, seemingly at the drop of a hat.

What we're about to witness though with Tebow will be unprecedented. We've never had ESPN hit us with a full on onslaught of "best CF player ever!" hype of the type Tebow will receive all throughout next season.

Just wait and see. If Florida runs the table next season the non stop blow job Tebow will receive from ESPN will be so severe that we'll all be tossing our TVs into the nearest dumpster before bowl season even arrives.

Bradford likely to return to Oklahoma

LionFan collectively shout: Hell yes! Too bad Stafford had to come out too. The Chiefs can have him.

If Gerald McCoy, Trent Williams and Sam Bradford all return OU will be a real pain in the ass again next season. Wow.

Nice to see, too. I fucking hate seeing underclassmen leave early. It's completely ruined college basketball and it's managed to hurt CF quit a bit too.

Think the '06 season might've looked a bit different had Vince Young, Reggie Bush and all the other underclassmen returned for their senior seasons, like they used to do when we all first started watching CF?

Nice trend though this year, with Tebow, Colt McCoy and now possibly Bradford all returning.

Sucks for Georgia!

Mark Sanchez better add his name to that list too but with only Stafford coming out early now someone might just convince Sanchez that he'll be a high first rounder and he just might have to listen to such talk...

Doesn't matter. Florida won't need to go undefeated. They just have to win the SEC and they can't have TWO more losses than everybody else. If they have the same number of losses as everyone else...they're in the title game. If they have only one more loss than certain teams...they're in the title game.

It's only with two more losses than everyone else (or losing the SEC) that they're guaranteed to not get in.

USC has to go undefeated to get in. Penn St has to go undefeated to get in. Taco Tech, Okie St, Michigan, W. Virginia...same deal.

Florida? Having to go undefeated is nearly a non issue. Sure, if Texas and USC both run the table and Florida loses a game somewhere then Florida won't get in but that's what it's going to take before Florida as a one loss SEC champ won't get in. It'll require two undefeated "helmet" schools...

Putting him on a team with a bad line where he'll be running around for life and having little time to throw...he'll be a disaster if he goes #1 to Detroit. They have no reason to take a QB #1 with numerous holes in their lineup.
