Yes, having a guy who was 53-32 with a NFC Championship, Superbowl Appearance as a Head Coach would really suck. His only two losing seasons were 7-9 and 8-8.

There isnt a better guy out there suited for pulling the last drop of talent out of our offensive personell. He'd sure as hell make McFadden one of the most feared weapons in the game. If The Count was smart, he'd already have that fucking nutcase hired.

If Al were to think about hiring Martz ... and Martz wanted to coach in Oakland, Al had better have that capable "buffer" in place between he and the coach.

I don't think there is much doubt that Martz would get the Raider offense geared up, unless Al cut the legs out from under it all with his fuggen around behind the scenes.

I got my info from the Patriots website, you got yours from Wikipedia (I read the same thing but seeing how there was nothing to reference I went with a more reliable source). However if Mangini was nothing more than a coffee fetcher as your "source" indicates than how does he suddenly become an offensive assistant with the Ravens when they moved from Cleveland?

Also, it stands to reason that if Mangini was some sort of closet stat geek who showed enough promise to be promoted to offensive assistant a year later, he most likely gained this knownledge and experience (like most assistansts) under the direction of the head coach of the team who happened to be Bill Belichick. However if that's too vague for you then explain why after a year with the Ravens he suddenly finds himself working as an assistant under Belichick for the Jets a year later... and rest is quite easily to follow... unles you're Ucant.

I wouldn't mind Haley. Just about anyone is an improvement over the current coach. I like that Haley doesn't put up with bullshit from his players. You can't let the inmates run the place. As much as I've despised Shanahan over the years I wouldn't be opposed to him being the coach either. I think a lot of his problems in Denver have to do with him trying to be the coach and GM. Too much was on his plate. Pioli obviously isn't going to give complete control of personnel decisions to a coach. So in order for Shanahan to be the Chiefs coach he'd have to comprimise with Pioli on the personnel decisions. The question is Shanahan willing to work with a GM? Or does he still want complete control?

Oh by all means go ahead. I'm sure JaMarcus being a rocket scientist and all will take to Martz's playbook like a paraplegic to water. And all those good RBs on the Raiders roster I'm sure will fit in perfectly with Martz's strategy to run the ball 7 times a game for no good reason. Sure, Martz as coach will give me a reason to draft a few Raiders to my FFL teams. But that's about it. Add to that Martz's reputation for front office backstabbing that makes Lane Kiffen look like a paragon of honesty by comparison and you have all the ingredients for a first class cluster fuck even by Raiders standards.
