What the heck, Mgo?
That outcome shocked me a bit.

Penn State is a pretty good team. If you didn't watch the game, they basically controlled the second half before letting MSU get within biting distance.

I've seen PSU play a few times this year. They're solid. Battle is probably the best guard I've seen in the Big Ten this year. They have a solid big man, good shooters, and they never look rattled. The way MSU handled PSU on the road led me to believe MSU would win this one at the Breslin, but I wasn't shocked to see the loss. For some reason opposing teams are going into the Breslin and jacking up 30 footers and draining them with ease. Northwestern did it, Illinois did it (even though they lost down the stretch), and now PSU did it. It's really quite strange, and I don't know how you defend that.
In any event, this is not a shameful loss. Battle played out of his mind and Penn St will be a tournament team.
Re: What the heck, Mgo?
PSU is pretty solid but lets also look at the fact that Raymar Morgan played all of 3 minutes. Put him on the court even close to 100% and me thinks the outcome would have been different.
"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."

Maybe. Probably. But they can beat teams without Raymar, they have great depth. Not against upper echelon teams around the country, mind you, but they should be able to beat teams like NU and PSU with his absence. Especially with home court advantage. And especially with a healthy Suton on the floor who is an arguably more valuable player. Did you see some of those shots they were draining though? It was ridiculous. Sometimes that shit happens and there's not much you can do about it. Kinda like what Kevin Coble did to them.
