Super Bowl grub

Post by MgoBlue-LightSpecial »

I'm feeling uninspired, so I come to you guys to give me some ideas. Please post recipes along with your suggestions.

Anybody have a good, but simple recipe for chili cheese dip that doesn't involve Velveeta and canned dog food, aka, chili?

TIA.

What's your problem with chili, DICK? You have a crock pot? Do some cocktail wieners, although I could see you passing on those as they resemble the size of your crank.

Probably a little late chiming in w/this, but nonetheless... love me some good salsa. My favorite fresh salsa recipe:

diced:
tomatoes (about 5 medium-large)
sweet onion (1:5 onion/tomato)
green onions (about 5)

minced:
garlic cloves (2)
serrano peppers (to taste- me about 3)
Chopped cilantro
1/4 cup pureed whole tomatoes
TBSP vinegar
1/2 lime, juiced
favorite hot sauce to taste

Combine all

Excellent stuff

I went out for SB, as per usualm.

No food prep here.

But my gracious host pulled out all the stops -- frozen burger patties and L&A Steaks... WITH Condiments, no less.

And I ate that shit like an Etheopian coming off Ramadan.

But I mostly stuck to a favorite staple -- scotch.

Speaking of scotch.....one of my buddies broke out some Chivas. Didn't need any but I partook. Monday morning was rough.
