No surprise as this delayed only by the Cards run to the Super Bowl.
I'll see what the Chiefs do in the draft and how things in camp look before offering an intitial judgement

I'll offer my "intitial" judgement right now.
Good hire.
Same as Pioli, we got our man.
Be very fucking afraid, AFC West motherfuckers.
We're back.

Defenders of the Red Faith anybody?
This oughtta be fun. 'Specially watching PatFan trying to parlay their castoffs and coulda-beens into trade-bait.
Looking forward to spreading the West again. Piece of cake, given the opposing coaching "talent"...

No matter, there's not a more passionate fan base this side of Lincoln, Nebraska.

No surprise. Scottie is very creative.Truman wrote: Who came up with that, originally?
Scotty.
Too bad that in old age his crank has shrunken to miniscule proportions. Maybe he has prostate trouble. That will humble.
I want the BOLD Scott back, not the guy who is holding off "initial judgement".
How the fuck do you hold off initial judgement anyway? That's an oxymoron if ever there was one.
Make up your fucking mind.

Haley hasn't proven jack squat as a head coach.Truman wrote:Looking forward to spreading the West again. Piece of cake, given the opposing coaching "talent"...
He's never been a head coach. lol
Right now you've got hope ... and lots of room under the cap.

Ya' think? You mean we hired a head coach with no experience as a head coach? Shit, that's never happened before....poptart wrote: Haley hasn't proven jack squat as a head coach.

I liked what I saw out of him handling Lanquan Boldin and Kunt Warner on the sideline. I mean I really liked that.
This guy will not take any shit.
I'm totally pumped.

Straight up, poppers: That sucking sound out West ain't the Le Brea tar pits. Can't say that I'm not pleased to see ALsheimer's validate his Commitment to Mediocrity.

Re: Chiefs hire Haley
My take on Haley is he did some great things in 'Zona with the offense -
So how did that happen? - Well the Cards drafted a sure thing with Larry Fitzgearld, had Anquan Boldin blow up far beyond anyone's stretch as a 2nd round pick and they had the wisdom to let Warner, who they got as a FA lead the team.
Haley did a great job building his offense around the strengths of these players - and he said as much in his news conference when asked about offensive and D schemes he'll use in KC:
The Chiefs have the third pick in the draft and a lot of cap space to get FA - that's Pioli's job to fill.
What Haley does with them will be the basis for my judgement of the hire - as well as how he manages games and the players.

So he has that going for him. Big picture though, it's just too early to say anything more than he appears to be a good hire and someone Pioli can work with.Haley declined to express a preference for offensive or defensive systems, saying he would build those around the talents of the players.
“One of the things I like about myself as a coach is that I was taught early on in this business is to do what your players do best and what gives you the best chance to succeed,” he said.

Re: Chiefs hire Haley
It means, behind every successful franchise, there's usually a coach and GM who work effectively as a team. Sometimes, these two men don't share the same philosophy on what direction the team should take with regard to players and coaching strategies. Oftentimes, this leads to a dysfunctional team that underperforms and never wins a fucking Super Bowl.mvscal wrote:Where the hell does all this shit come from? Seeing as how Pioli never worked for a shit franchise like San Diego, I am going to go out on a limb here and guess... never?mvscal wrote:When, exactly, has that ever been the case with Pioli?

My comments were in regard to organizational dynamics, not about who hired whom. Do you spend any time at all digesting what you're responding to, or do you concentrate solely on ensuring you bang out about 20 shit posts per day?mvscal wrote:In other words, you're talking out your ass...again. Show me used any form of the word "hire", or a synonym thereof, with regard to your shit organization... which oh btw... has never won a Super Bowl.mvscal wrote:Now you're backpedalling.

Funny how someone mentions words like "dysfunctional team" and Chargertard automatically associates them with his shit franchise... which oh btw... has never won a fucking Super Bowl.mvscal wrote:You were talking about AJ Smith and Marty Douchenbagger. Don't even try to pretend like you weren't.

It must suck being Chargertard. How dare you think you have the market cornered on dysfunctional shit franchises that have never won a Super Bowl?mvscal wrote:Your implication was quite clear.
Are you really arguing this point?
