$13.00 a week?
What is that going to buy someone? Another fast food meal? What else? I don't get it. Someone please explain. And how many people that make under 75K are really going to put this money to use? Another couple packs of cigarettes?

It doesn't particularly matter what the money is spent on, just that it is spent. Though I do agree that it would have been better had the tax cut been made retroactive to 2008, which would have given everybody a nice addition to their tax refund to spend out the gate.

Not by a long shot. But it will help stem the tide until real stimulus can be done. We're still looking at filling in a 2 trillion dollar hole in the economy.mvscal wrote:Then what? Voila! Nooooo shit.
Any "economic model" that involves half the people being productive so they can support the other half that is essentially paid to watch over them is GOING to fail miserably.

Should cover about two days of trev's cheap vodka consumption at $10.00 per half gallon.

At least in the meantime, I'd appreciate it if the other half stays the fuck out of the way while I dig my little ditch.
