Let the old geezers get their drugs from Cananda shipped in on GM built trucks.

The automakers should hire on company doctors and build Chevy General Hospital and conduct in and outpatient surgery for retirees and family members...using medical equipment and supplies imported from overseas.

Fuck the healthcare industry and pharmaceutical companies right square in their collective, greedy asses.

That would be a good start.

I'D LIKE to start by congratulating all of you. You are all now in the auto business, the Sport of Kings-or in our case, presidents and members of Congress. Without your support—and I assume that most of you are fortunate enough to pay taxes—General Motors and Chrysler would very likely be getting measured by the undertakers of the bankruptcy courts. But make no mistake. What has happened to GM is essentially bankruptcy by other means, and that is an extraordinary event in the political and economic history of our country.

I read all the way to "I'D LIKE to start...." and then I got bored...

YEAH!! Who the fuck needs modern medicine anyway?!? Fuck all that shit, man!!

Great take, idiot. Really...
Why do you enjoy taking your meds up the ass without any pre-lube? Sadomasochistic homo-eroticism aside...explain how Canada sells the same shit for ten cents on the dollar.

Buy the drugs from canada where they are "cheaper".

I always like this idea to help control costs.

Ever wonder why they are cheaper?

Canada along with the rest of the world, can, and will if necessary, manufacture these drugs very cheaply, if they can't blackmail the US drug companies into selling them at a discount. Remember, drugs are extremely cheap to produce....once you get past that pesky little problem of coming up with a recipe. That minor little recipe formulation thingy cost many, many millions.

Simple minded idiots like yourself can go ahead and say fukk the pharm. companies square in their collective greedy arses, but, someday you or someone in your family might need a drug that hasn't been invented yet and won't be invented unless some greedy ass scientist is paid to figure out what it is.

The company hospital idea is an interesting one, but, there are a few problems with it. Those resource sucking UAW retirees have a habit of wandering all over the country when they retire. It only makes sense to have a company hospital if you can keep them in large groups. A bigger problem is the mountain of gubmint regulation hospitals have to deal with and oppressive insurance premiums that come along with our out of control tort system.

The 1970's was the pits for US autos. I had a brand new 1973 Mercury that by 1975 was on its way to being a rust-bucket ! I lived near a repair shop and they had a new Chevy that kept overheating. When they put it up on the hoist they saw written on the engine block in yellow industrial crayon--"REJECT" ! Also some may recall people buying Buicks that had Chevy engines in them. Nice.

So let me see if I have this right.... You are apologizing for the same companies who get sued and investigated regularly for price gouging? The same greedy motherfucking entities that use TAXPAYER money for research and development on the same products they then bend the consumer over for? Your whole premise is full of holes.

I bet you would have a problem with Wal-Mart being allowed to build a few oil refineries, slapping the sand-nogs in the fucking mouth on crude prices (wal-mart buys their shit at THEIR price), and putting the crooks at Exxon-Mobile straight the fuck into bankruptcy.

Of course, all the above would require LESS government interference and regulation and an apologist like you couldn't stand for it. Who's the real communist you unamerican slut? I bet you work for Pfizer. Fucking crook.

Paying a greedy ass scientist I have no problem with. Paying for extravagant office parties at doctor offices I do.

Not to mention all they spend on advertising that mislead the public into thinking they know more than their doctor about medicine & pharmacology.

I not only agree, I'll go so far as to rack this statement. The trend over the last decade or so of the pharm companies telling you to go ask your doc if you can have a certain drug are bullshit. You got an ailment, go to the doc and see what he thinks you should have rather than you going there with a list of shit you saw on TV that you want him to hook you up with.

I put that type of marketing about 1 step above ambulance chaser ads.
