Now, if you lose on the show, the judgment against you is deducted from that fee. As I said above, one of my former clients showed up on Judge Mathis, but I didn't get that number from him. IIRC, it came from one of those supermarket tabloid rags my wife brings home on occasion. Not the most reliable source, of course. But then again, on this point at least, who would know better than them?
