Your thoughts about Jason Campbell ?

Post by velocet »

I'd be grateful for commentary about the 'Skins starting QB, especially from fans of teams not named Redskins.

You may even hate the 'Skins, but you can be fairly objective since you have nothing invested in said QB's success or failure except on a possible game day (not likely in March).

Thanks!

According to some of the reports the Skins are trying to work a deal for Cutler.

On the positive side his NFL fantasy commercial was impressive

look, McDaniels may be a lot of things, but he's not an idiot
the skins have nothing to offer....any deal for Cutler would necessitate they get a REAL starting NFL quarterback, not a fucking scrub like Campbell

I just said they were trying to work a deal, it doesn't mean it would be a Campbell for Cutler swap. I think any deal for Cutler includes either Detroit with those two first round picks, Philly who also has two 1s or possibly through Cleveland for Quin and their 1.

He's an amazing starter and should be the franchise QB for years to come.

Denver is not going to trade Cutler for picks....they need a starting quarterback and they're not going to get one in the draft...now, if they could parlay those draft picks to get a proven QB, then it might be doable...but unless Denver can get a starting QB out of the trade, they're not going to deal him

Felix,

I don't know. Denver's got the 12th pick. Jax and Detroit may pick QBs. Then again, Detroit may not be able to pass up Crabtree leaving Dirty Sanchez or Stafford for Dungver.

Thanks for your replies.

Usually we're given to defending our teams and players no matter what around here.

I just wanted to see something of a reality check along the lines of "are most people watching the same thing?" There isn't much in the way of Campbell defenders coming in the thread vouching for his talent and body of work. Don't see many replies at all, which is indicative of how compelling a topic this is in the first place.

So in the spirit of ratings, maybe this ESPN page about coaches is more interesting.
