Dude promised for months that he would rescue a dog from a shelter instead has a pure bred PWD.

Further comparing dogs and cattle in this society is crazy. We have domesticated dogs to be companions, we haven't done the same with cattle. Now if this were Korea, you might have a point.

While no dogs are non-allergenic, some are easier on allergies than others. All dogs give off dander which agrevates allergies. That said, there were two shelters in the Metro DC area that had PWG available for adoption at the time the Prez got his.

First off I know that Prez Hussein was considering Chancellor Michelle Rhee for Sect. of Education. He was impressed with her "success" in the DC public schools and said she could be an effective leader for the country. IE, my statement. Michelle Rhee is good enough for the country but not for his kids. Honestly, I could care less where he, or any previous pres sends their kids to school. However, if any of them were to open their yap about the quality of the public schools etc, and then not send their kids there is crap. Bush, Clinton, Hussein, et al.

Second off I know that funding levels have little effect on success in schools. The biggest factor is parental involvement. I am currently serving on a committee to draw school boundaries for two new elementary schools in my local school district. All of the elementary schools in the district have the same level of funding, but three are far under performing when compared to the whole district. Sadly, those are the three schools with the largest number of students from broken homes. Further parental volunteers (in hours) is less than a 10th of the rest of the district average. Something Chancelor Rhee also understands.

Third, I know that Chancelor Rhee sent her kids to one of the DC higher performing elementary schools. She later then fired the principal of the same school which was controversial. Why fire the leader of one of the few high performing schools?

Since you are so worried about my kids, rest easy. If I have kids they will not go to Houston ISD, nor would they go to DC public schools. Neither will I talk about how great those two districts are.
