This is your chance, Sam. Your chance to paint an old BMW 850 with the stars and bars and run some German imports on the back roads.

Here ya' go, socal, an M6 doing 193mph on the Autobahn, well on its way to blowing through 200mph, until the guy ran up on some guy who was going way too slow in the left lane...

'Spray, every time I see that clip I always get chills from those downshift throttle blips in that Ferrari. That thing sounds absolutely badass.

Love when he goes into a blind corner, hanging it out, and then he changes his mind and drifts it back to another street.

Dude should've died, or someone else should've, with as many red lights as he ran. Some of those streets were also awfully narrow to be driving flat out through 'em, like that. Some guy comes strolling out of a bakery at dawn, he goes to cross the street...

...eeash.

Incredible film.

Here's a shorter one, involving an older GSX-R1000. It's not as good of a film, but christ, some of it is scary as hell...

'Spray, it may only be an urban myth, but the story goes that there's a very good reason the title of that clip is "Ghost Rider's Final Ride."

The douche in the ferrari needs to be shot in the head. That kind of driving in a populated area is really fukking dumb. Take it to the track, asshole.

The dude on the gixxer with the death wish doesn't bother me as much as it's likely to be just his own funeral that he is the cause of. BTW, his driving was wayyy more balsy than douch in the ferrari.

van, that ferrari sounded OK, but, if you want a badass soundtrack to go with driving vid, check out this guy absolutely hammering a new ZR1 on the 'ring.

nothing sounds as badass as a well tuned V-8. Rack GM for at least getting one thing right.

The Ferrari definitely sounds way more badass, of those two clips. I don't recall which Ferrari it is, however. It could be a V8.

Dude, a Ferrari is always going to sound more badass than a 'Vette. Ferraris typically rev higher. They rip harder, with more of that gorgeously snarly shriek.

To each his own. The high shriek of a v-12 ferrari is pretty sweet, but, there is just something about a big block V-8 that breathes as clearly as the ZR1. Chevy did a really good job at getting rid of the annoying blower whine that usually accompanies a blown motor on the ZR1.

There are ferraris out there that will walk the ZR1, but, not for under a half million, give or take a hundred thou.

Just talking sound. Big inch pushrod American V8s just don't wail like Italian exotica. It's true with women, and it's equally true with cars.

I love how V10 Ferraris sound, in F1. I haven't kept up on it, but at one point the Ferraris in F1 were V10s and they sounded like sheer shredded silk.

It's socal's fault.

Btw, you need to invent a two stroke V8 outboard motor powered dual attachment Sybian. NASCAR minded wimmins everywhere would be greatly pleased.

the firing order of a V-10 is just not naturally as cool sounding as a V-8. that is why the viper sounds kinda fucked up. a V-10 lambo is kinda cool though.

face it, pretty much anything italian sounds cool.

V-6s in general sound like ass. It is the worst engine configuration for engine music, imo. The only v-6 I ever heard that I thought was cool were the old alfas. But, a I said earlier, every damn italian engine ever made sounds kinda cool.

I had an SHO taurus that sounded horrible, although it souded less horrible at 7 grand that it did at 4. And that overgrown motorcycle engine would spin 7 K without breaking a sweat. Supposedly, yamaha (the designer and builder) said it was bulletproof to 8500, but, unfortunately, all the rotating ford bits bolted to it weren't so fond of such revs, so they redlined it at 7K. The fuel injection shut it down at about 7300 if you decided to torture the ford parts. I confirmed this on many a highway on ramp in 2nd or 3th gear.

then there's the flat six porsches. i wouldn't neccessarily qualify it as a nice sound, infact it is kinda raspy and ugly sounding, but, it is undeniably badass, especially at 7000 rpm with about 20 lbs of boost.

Skylines have an inline 6 and not a V6 and what youre hearing is the turbo spooling up. V motors are more difficult to run a single turbo on as the turbo runs off the exhaust and in many v motors the exhausts come out on opposite sides of the engine.

If you like the sound of spool, check out this lil 4 banger that would absolutely devour that v10 Viper

and closer to the track

Skylines do, or did have inlines. The GTR is definitely a V motor.

Holly crap, listen to the turbo waste gate popping away like a fire cracker! That's one ugly sounding beast, but, it gets it done.

Is that the waste gate thats popping? Someone told me that it was a Rev limiter but I have also read that that car is running over 80 psi

Thats too bad that they went with a V6 for the US GT-Rs, the Inline is a much much better motor, more torque, easier to throw one big turbo on it than 2 little ones

No doubt KCtrl + Paula 3.0 is popping a few gates or waistbands.
