If we're thinking of the same story (and I'm sure we are), it was actually a spurned lover obsessed with this chick in Tehran who ended up throwing acid in her grill. Now she's blind and suing his ass in court, he claims he never did it and justifies it by saying "she's blind. how could she know I'm the guy who did it?"

And regarding the reporter's story, let this be a lesson to all reporters thinking of working in civilized muslim countries: It's not worth the risk to practice your trade in Iran. Go to some other third-world shithole (Well, she'll be back in No Dak, so I guess that counts).
