RIP Wayman Tisdale

For me Wayman ranks up there with Leroy Selmon and as one of the all-time great Sooners and a guy I really liked. To me he was Oklahoma basketball. I remember watching him on the 84 Olympic team and really wishing the Spurs could move up in the draft to take him. That 84 team in my mind was the real Dream Team. His NBA career was never what i thought it would be but he still had a solid career. I really didn't think much about him until that ESPN piece came out about his Jazz career and battle with cancer, it was a very uplifting piece and it made me sad to see a guy I idolized as an athlete take ill like that.

Wayman Tisdale was my first Sooner idol as a kid. He was one of the best people ever to grace the campus. This is a tragic loss for OU, the city of Tulsa, and the entire state of Oklahoma. God Bless the Tisdale family. Sooner Nation will be mourning this passing for a long time.

Nope. I don't even visit the NBA forums, and I occasionally care about the NBA.

It's the main board, or this one, for me. You got me to dip into the NFL board a bit, but that's about it for me.
