Is this the Pirate Bar?

Post by ElvisMonster »

Hahahaha! See how I took an old joke and turned it into an EPIC thread title for a discussion of "Pirates! Live the Life"? Fucking RACK me!

Anyfuck....anybody remember this game from back in the day?

Image

Sailing around the Caribbean, plundering mother fuckers, boarding mother fuckers, installing mother fuckers. WAR that. I used to waste a fairly substantial amount of time busting some galleon, sloop, and fluyte ass. Because that's how I roll.

Alright, here's what I'm getting at. Sid Meier has updated the game with some new bells and whistles and it's back like a MOTHER FUCKER. The land combat is MUCH improved. The graphics have been moved into this century without screwing with the feel of the original. The duels are still repetitive and gaybo, but that's about the only thing that I haven't dug so far. If you dug the original, issue.

Oh, I'm the 7th most feared pirate in the fucking Caribbean. Rack me again.

According to Firaxis.com:
Firaxis Games recently announced the development of Sid Meier's Civilization IV - the next iteration of the greatest strategy game on the planet! Sid Meier's Civilization IV takes the game to a whole new level with stunning 3D graphics, advanced multiplayer gameplay, full player-created scenario (mods) support, and cool new civilizations, technologies, and units!
Mother fucking RACK!-a-mundo.

I've been meaning to backtrack a little bit and check out "Alpha Centauri" and the "Civil War Collection". I hear they are both quality time wasters. Sid rawks.

Rack this game. I played a 'borrowed' version a few weeks ago and it is in fact as awesome as EM makes it out to be. It is really funny and a lot of fun. Plundering is the best. Made it to the most feared pirate, by luck.

The game is that good? Why did they put a gay pirate on the cover of the original?
