I'm trying to create a torrent to upload to dime and I can't because all my files in Vista are listed as "read-only." WTF? Although this is the first time I've tried to upload, I've never noticed my files, ever, as read only.
Any help appreciated.
All my files in Vista are automatically sent to read-only

Just ran into something similar with 2008. may have to do with the fact that you are logging in with Admin privileges. Try to disable UAC and see if that fixes the problem.
Here are the steps to disable it:

I do a lot of work where I right-click a file and open it in a text editor. Vista will, while that file icon has the focus on a minimized window, cause it to be read-only. That has caused me a lot of frustration since beginning to use Vista.

Open the Run line, and type "Disable UAC."ElTaco wrote:Try to disable UAC and see if that fixes the problem.

Same thing
I think that somewhere in the Tools menu, there's a way to dick with file attributes in God-forsaken Vista.
