we actually sent the whole team my kids played on to the Jerry Robinson tackling camp the last few years, they know the "point their seat at the feet and their eyes to the sky" rules in tackling.
By ducking your head I didnt mean "bend over and hit him with the top of your head," if a kid does that in tackling drills we make them take their helmet off when they get through the line again. Just saying that when youre hitting a guy 5 or 6 inches shorter than you you have to get your pad level down. What we use for that is a pvc pipe rack thats about 48 inches off the ground they have to run under to make the hit.
Plus, during games we teach our kids to gang tackle, if the enemy team has a player thats pretty good, the first man to him is instructed to hold him up until a few more can come clean him up. The more beat up and sore he is, the poorer he plays and the better chance we have to win.

I can just see schmick's stories once his kids play on the golf team.
I teach my kid that if you are out and someone on the other team walks ahead of you to look for their ball, groove one into the back of his skull, but be sure it ricochets onto the green within 3 feet for your tap in. If someone walks in your line on the putting green, go spit on his ball mark, twist your spikes into the green right in front of it and call him a faggot cum sucker. From that point on, he'll be tip-toeing on the greens and stay the fuck out of your way. THAT'S what golf is all about for the youth of America. [Howard Dean]ARRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!![/Howard Dean]

speaking of golf Indy, congrats on the Aggies' NC.

Thanks. While I would prefer a CFB or CBB title, seeing A&M do well in golf always makes me happy. I tried out for the golf team my freshman year. Coach Ellis was there at the time. I tried to get A&M to recruit me, but no dice. Just wasn't good enough. Sam Houston and SFA had some interest, but I wanted to be an Aggie. I got 3rd in the qualifying tourney but they only took the top player to the team. Thus, my golfing "career" ended, and I am now a shell of my former self on the links. Lots more fun now though than I ever had when I was breaking par.

Van,
Yes there is always the spearing call, but 99% of us know when someone is trying to injure. We will call it a FP most of the time.
For those of you that watched the .m2blue video, there was a clear cut ejection in the first minute. The Cal guy headbutts the SC player who doesn't have his helmet on. Personal Foul and ejection.
Nice player you have there .m2blue

And not even just sports, but every day life situations.IndyFrisco wrote:I can just see schmick's stories once his kids play on the golf team.

Make sure you have one of those giant bat-shaped sausages in the front of your cart in case she makes a quick recovery, then you can start beating her about the temples with it. Do this, and you’ll get first in line, every time. Fuck the PC assholes who disagree."

There was still NO helmet to helmet contact in Mays hit. Mays was commited and running full speed, how can you expect anyone to pull up because the reciever is dropping down or because someone else has already hit him. Mays lead with his shoulder pad and that is what hit the PSU player, PSU and their fans cried like little bitches because USC kicked the shit out of them up and down the field the whole game, they cried about the USC players dancing on the sideline and rey dancing behind the reporter. If PSU wants to be buttoned down and not have any fun, then be that way but USC has fun, they play hard, they play within the rules and they have fun, especially when they win. If you dont want them to have fun, shut your mouths and beat them on the field.

Are all the other SC people wrong?
Are you the only person left in the country that is correct on this?

I'll at least somewhat back him in saying that no matter how many times I watch the slo-mo replay I still can't determine to a certainty whether there is actual helmet to helmet contact. It looks like there might be some contact between the side of Mays' helmet and Norwood's helmet, but I can't say to a certainty.Left Seater wrote:Are all the other SC people wrong?

I definitely see an infraction, though. He hit him too high. Regardless of the circumstances, he hit him in the head. I'm just not positive he made helmet to helmet contact.
I'd also say that it sure appears that he attempted to turn his shoulder, and lead with it.
Not that it matters. Shoulder to head contact is still an infraction, so it's all a moot point.
