However, the fact is, people who couldn't afford to buy a home, people who required political assistance in order to buy their first home, those people likely can't afford a home. When the housing market crashed and the economy burned, those people were likely the first people to lose their homes; unless they were floated by further political assistance.

Any statistical reporting on the home foreclosure crisis bears out such speculation, because a basic rule of thumb for lenders is low-income people who've never owned before make for high default rate loans.
