Bride on the left in white. Still only done one, but I did finger bang another one night at a party. We laughed about it at the wedding and I'm not teling you why.

I don't know whether it's possible to be partially colorblind, or whether colorblindness is an all-or-nothing thing. If there are degrees of colorblindness, then I have no doubt that I'm partially colorblind. If it's an all-or-nothing thing, then I'm not.L45B wrote:Makes me wish I was colorblind.
Most of these unis aren't quite as garish as some of what they've trotted out in recent years (exception for the one on the right). That having been said, I'm not a fan of introducing a new color into your color scheme that wasn't part of it in the past. The silver ought to go for that reason.
I'm also not a fan of the "blackout" unis, although that trend is hardly unique to Oregon. Most of all, Oregon probably shouldn't be changing uniforms every single year. Give it a rest, at least some of the time.

Ditching the diamond plate = good.
The gay shoulder wings = worst in football.
Removing all identity from your team, by switching unis every season = Terry is spot on correct.
Horrible, to marginalize your franchise like that. The only visual identity Oregon has now is...take your pick: Circus Clown, Gay Pride Parade Reject, Robocunt, Prison Guard and Puddle Of Urine.

Since Oregon tries to not wear the same combination twice in a season I am hoping for the yellow jersey, silver pants, and white helmet combination. That would be god awful.

No, they do it for national attention. They're clear out in the northwest part of the country and this is their way of putting their school on the map nationally. It's a smart idea. A Penn State fan just started a thread about Oregon. That's exactly what they want.....Sudden Sam wrote:Do the Ducks do this to attract fashion-challenged recruits...or just to give the rest of us something to laugh at?
Re: Annual Oregon Uni thread
these are supposed to last for the next three or four years. then again, the new uni roll-out wasn't scheduled till next season.Terry in Crapchester wrote: I'm also not a fan of the "blackout" unis, although that trend is hardly unique to Oregon. i don't know why so many people bitch about oregon's unis. then again, ou + nike apparently does and that's why they keep this up. oregon would be kansas, iowa, or some other middling program sunk to the depths of sub-.500 if they didn't exploit their ability to market as they've done. they're not a traditionally powerful program, so why dress like one. they've forged an identity for themselves rather lose themselves in the nondescript crowd. it works.

And you did not just compare Kansas to Iowa, did you?
Please tell me that you slipped Iowa in there in hopes I would see it and get my panties in a bunch over it and that you weren't actually serious???

Nice, good job M Club.....
Thanks for the help on the intro. So now I must finish it off.....
That is 3 Top 10 finishes from 2002-2004, another Top 20 Finish in 2008. 5 New Years Day bowl appearances in the last 7 years (3 victories in those 5 games). 2 Big-10 titles since 2002, and 5 since 1981. A 6-1 record vs Penn State since 2000. 15 times finished in the AP Top 25 since 1981. 21 bowl appearances since 1981.
It's not Kal, but it ain't too damn shabby!!

The diamond plating was the absolute worst, but these gay duck feathers aren't far behind.
I just feel sorry for the linemen having to wear those things, as they line up against mouth breathing orcs wearing Ohio St gear.
The worst thing about the new unis is they even completely abandon the school colors, in some instances. Going to different unis every year, just to set yourself apart, okay, I can sorta see that. Going to grey, silver and white, with feathers on the shoulders?
Warren Beatty from Heaven Can Wait, in a bad imitation of a Raiders road uni?
That can't stand. No matter how vomitous, they gotta at least stick with green and gold.
Oh, and that throwback uni is so many thousand times better than any of these new ones, it's just sad. They looked like football players in those old unis.
Now they look like Fuckbots: The Skittles Edition

They churn out shitty uniforms, and apparently shittier presidents...
Oregon's President, on the notion of a playoff wrote:"I believe we all agree that no system will ever be considered perfect, particularly by those conferences and institutions whose teams are not chosen in any particular year," Frohnmayer said. "But the BCS is the best postseason arrangement that has ever existed in college football. I say that after reviewing the matter from all standpoints, including student-athlete welfare, fan enjoyment, the academic calendar, the significance of the regular season, preservation of the bowl system that benefits a broad base of universities, and business.
"In the last six years, I've read pundits, heard the pronouncements of broadcasters and collected several cubic feet of e-mail printouts from advocates of an NFL-style playoff system. Even those that go beyond sound bite certitude share two intertwined and fatal deficiencies: They disrespect our academic calendars and they utterly lack a business plan."

Yeah, those old Iowa uni's from 1994-1995 were bad and I have no idea what our marketing department was thinking, but there's been tons of much worse uni's over the years than those. Minnesota, Oregon, Oregon State, Syracuse's new throwback style uni's, Iowa State's attack of the killer tomato uni's, and 90% of the mid-major uni's (they're very cheap looking) were all worse.

I thought they also has a contest (I think there was a thread on here in fact) to where they were going to select a new helmet, which was set to be in place in 2009. From recollection, all of the options that their fans could vote on were white helmets.

That must have been how it played out because I found an article on their website that the contest was in 2007 to have everything in place in for the 2008 season. I couldn't find anything as to why they didn't go with the white helmet though.
