That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."

d-townmike has been running the pick’em pools over at the “Trolls” I sent him a PM asking what he thought about combining the “Trolls” with T1B”. We both thought a little competition between the two boards would be fun.
If no one has a problem with this he will post these same links over there for them to join.
What does everyone here think?

That's a great idea 'zilla - I looked this weekend and the pick 'em games were pretty sparse in terms of particiaption so far
Re: Pick 'em, Confidence, Survivor and Salary Cap Yahoo Games
I'm going to be IN, but I don't think Yahoo is the route these games ought to go.
It's my opinion that we should keep the games ... "in-house."
We had this debate for a couple of years with kcdave a few years back, when he wanted to take the games to Yahoo.
I think by taking them to Yahoo you'll see a drop off in participation.
To join, a person needs to leave this board.
He also needs to make a Yahoo account.
You can say, "Hey, it's just a few clicks of the mouse," and that is true.
But I think the REALITY is that those "few clicks" are going to keep people OUT who would be IN if the games were kept in-house.
I can fully appreciate 'zilla and HM not being able to do all the work to keep the games running so well, as they have in the past.
They've done a GREAT job.
Yahoo makes it much easier for them.
But I think we're better off keeping the games on the board.
Let 'zilla and HM run ONE game at T1B and let someone else run another one.
Or let 'zilla and HM opt out completely if they don't have the time to run a game.
Let someone else take it over.
Or, just tell me to fuck off because I am an idiot ... and go the Yahoo route.
Just giving y'all my .02.
Peace out.

Re: Pick 'em, Confidence, Survivor and Salary Cap Yahoo Games
Tart - Do you want to run the pick-em game in house?
Re: Pick 'em, Confidence, Survivor and Salary Cap Yahoo Games
How did I know that was going to be the first question?
If the choice is ...
a) Yahoo
b) poptart runs pick 'em in-house
... I choose b.
I don't want to run pick 'em.
I ran the Confidence Game for 2 years, which was a little time-consuming.
I'm lazy.
But I can run pick 'em here if that's your decision.
You're the admin' and I can offer to do it.
I'd rather someone else offer, but hey, I can do it.
Some people LIKE to run a game like this.
I think the late great KUTTER was that sort of guy.
Maybe someone here wants to run the game.
Do what you think is best, Scott.

Dave - Thanks and it's appreciated you wanting to step up and do this.
Since it's only one Game, I think we can also run it in here rather than moving it to the other fourm - That may increase participation as well
Let me know what you need from a support standpoint - I'm going to request adding you as a Mod in here

That's fine, but I'm good with trev, and if you want to add a moderator, Felix is the guy.
Or Q -- if he ever gets back in here.

Q and Felix both did an excellent job, so does Trev. But I think rotating the mod duties is a good idea -poptart wrote:That's fine, but I'm good with trev, and if you want to add a moderator, Felix is the guy.

It gets new people involved and gives them a different perspective than just posting.
I once remember telling Nye that the best mods, like referees, were the ones you never noticed.
