No...though Board Bitch Prediction is worthy of its own thread...I'm talking about the team who some say "is playing the best RIGHT NOW" at the end of the season while not taking care of business earlier in the season. This will be the team on the outside looking in.

I have a feeling it is actually going to be Ohio St. this year. I can see them going 11-1 with a conference loss. Will OSUFan be crying if an couple one loss teams like t.u./OU/Florida get the nod ahead of them?

Last year we has U$CFan and then after the BCS games it was UtahFan. Ultimately, I will give it to UtahFan since they tried to sue. Who's this year's Bitch?

Cal and MStool because they have to travel. Or he'll bitch about how Maryland actually got to Cali days before the game to adjust....once Cal gets beat he'll be in here, then he'll claim how the refs screwed them vs. SC and they should be in the MNC game.

If Boise St wins tomorrow night they're running the table, and they're a definite Bitch possibility.

Undefeated Va Tech and Penn St teams are also strong candidates, since they'd both get shut out of the dance by Florida and the winner of OU-Texas.

Yeah, I think Boise St. is a good prediction. Then again, I was thinking more along the lines of a BCS Conference team.

If you go undefeated, you took care of business.

Last year's bitch was Texas. I don't remember Utah recognizing non-existent conference championships in its weight room.

Cal is a perfect fit for this scenario. Say they lose to Oregon, beat SC the following week, and win out. They'd have 1 loss, relatively early in the season, yet would likely be on the outside versus one or more 1 loss teams of getting in the MNC.

Any team that rolls through their season undefeated earns the right to bitch, especially if they are passed over by teams that with a loss or two. Especially if it is in one of the BCS conferences.

In your scenario, Indy, I would be a little disappointed but under the current system the situation of being passed up would be warranted. The same thing happened in '07 and we did back into the NC game that year. And admittedly, that tOSU team was a little wet behind the ears yet got up early on LSU 10-0 but failed to cash it in. And consequently, that was one of the three big games that has cost Ohio State some street cred of deserving to be in a game of that magnitude.

Now, like someone alluded to already, if Ohio State were to go 12-0 and get jumped by a one-loss team I would be pissed off.

Oregon lost to AZ
MIZZOU lost to OU
VT lost to BC
WVU lost to Pitt (HOME favorite by 28.5) and SHIT THE BED
KU lost late to MIZZOU

then MIZZOU lost to OU in the Big 12 title game...

so for those giving OSU shit about that game...I always point to the events that happened to get OSU back in the picture...after OSU lost to ILL and beat Michigan they were what 7th in the BCS...with 1 loss...well when teams ahead of them all of a sudden start shitting the bed what are you supposed to do?

At the time, I wasn't complaining but I sure was skeptical on how much of a championship-caliber team Ohio State was that season. Nonetheless, as an OSU fan I fully expect that the team & coaching staff take advantage of those situations and not shit the bed like they did. Cuz you never know when you're gonna actually field a championship-caliber team and not get the chance to play for all the marbles (1998 ring a bell??).

Boise St plays in the MWC, where most years they should go undefeated, as would most of the Top 10 against that schedule.

Most years, Boise St simply cannot offer up anything like a compelling resume. This year will be no different. Even if they get it, one win in the season opener at home against Oregon does not a competitive schedule make. There isn't a single game on the remainder of their schedule that wouldn't rightfully be considered a full-on 3 TD or more underdog cupcake to a Florida, Texas, OU or USC.

No, if Boise St played in the Pac 10, Big XII, Big 10, ACC or SEC, they wouldn't run the table. I'll say that without qualification, and I'll tell anyone who begs to differ that they're flat out wrong. Moreover, a team who plays in that conference will never deserve a shot at the national title, not unless they're the only undefeated team in the country, and all the BCS conference contenders have a minimum of two losses.

As the leagues are currently constructed, a one loss BCS conference team should get in over an undefeated MWC team every time.

At a certain point there, probably right after "kabuki theatre," I began to savor that post, word by word, looking forward to the next one.

charley's was a pretty nice start to the evening. long islands, i know, but they were like $2.50 or $3. most of the time it ended up the whole of my evening considering it got a lot better once the ny crowd moved to rick's.

in my day - and yours as well - we had the del rio. they didn't take credit, which scared away the new jersey girls who couldn't put the whole evening on their dad's tab. i enjoyed the calm.
