Any local faves around your home town?

Post by campinfool »

Growing up I was into some pretty raunchy underground punk stuff and never really gave other genres much thought. As I get older I've been listening to a wider variety of stuff. I saw this band called Pride and Joy out of Waco Texas at my neighborhood's Fourth of July Fest a couple of years ago and got hooked. Since I've seen them about once a month at bar near my house. The group in comprised of a dad and two sons. They cover a lot of SRV songs but their originals can be rockin. The singer is perhaps the best guitar palyer I have ever seen up close.

I see TVO is already a fan.

The Love Me Nots are a pretty good local band. Cool sound, cool image, and they draw well. They seem to have the potential to "make it," whatever that even means anymore...

I've got to prop by brother in law's band Absolution Project. These guys can rock a place out.
