Was out and about a little bit over the weekend and thought I'd share some pics. Flew into the Heartland on Friday night and went to the Ohio State Public Relations Event ERRRRRR... OSU-Navy football game on Saturday. Got back home Sunday night and decided to head over to Flushing Meadow on Monday morning to watch some US Open tennis. One thing I took away from the long weekend-- you can be the nice guy yet still go out and kick somebody's ass. I wish I was referring to Jim Tressel's coaching philosophy but unfortunately that only describes what I saw during Roger Federer's court-wiping of Tommy Robredo. Nonetheless, here's what I got...
(Saturday) Pre-game handshake and Tressel's Red Carpet Ceremony for the visiting Midshipmen
Both teams running out onto the field in unison
National Anthem
F-18 Flyover
Quad Script Ohio at Halftime (Ohio native John Glenn & his wife dotted one of the i's)
Navy players stop to pay respect for the singing of Carmen Ohio postgame
(Monday) Arthur Ashe Stadium
Women's Singles: Petrova vs. Oudin (the 17 year-old chick from Georgia who is currently making a run)
Melanie Oudin from far enough away
Mets new ballpark
Roger Federer barely breaking a sweat
Federer vs. Robredo (Federer won easily)
Around the grounds
Pistol Pete
