Titans-Steelers in-game

Post by Paul »

Looks like perhaps the Steelers should've upgraded their O-line during the off-season....those guys aren't blocking for SHIT tonight.

And, uh, may be calling you. If you can, please take your name off that and, um, and what do you call it just have it as a number on the voice mail, just have it as your telephone number. That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."

Titans should blitz every single play, as bad as the Steelers' O-line is.

The refs just wanted to show Gage their appreciation of his epic rebounding skillz.

What I took from the game.

1. Parker is too damn fast to the hole, and then not fast enough once he gets there. He needs to chill out for a split second and let a hole develop. If I see him charge to the LOS only to stop just as a hole is developing one more time I'm going to hit something.

2. Ben is a straight up stud. Nuff said.

3. WTF Hines? Two hands on the ball dammit!!

4. I miss Gary Russell already. Maybe they could convert a backup D lineman or LB into a short yardage guy? It couldn't be any worse than the stiffs they're trotting out now.

5. Troy was on his way to authoring one of the greatest games ever before that MCL sprain sidelined him. Thank God the next 3-6 games aren't as tough as last year's games 2-7.

All in all, not a horrible way to start the season. They've got chances to fix what is wrong before things get too out of hand. Here's hoping they do.

Very rare fugg-up on Ward's part.

The guy is a money as they come, imo.

Better receiver than Lynn Swann could ever dream of being, and yet he very likely won't make it to the Hall.

I'd rank Ward as one of the toughest WR - hell Toughest at any position - players I've ever seen. His Blocks are highlight reel stuff

An extremely rare fuckup. The last time I remember him making a play like that was back in 2005 when he tried to lateral to Randel El during the Patriots game. And I wouldn't downplay Ward's chances at the HOF. 3 more solid seasons and Ward will have over 1000 receptions. Add that with his rings, Super Bowl MVP award and his reputation as the best blocking WR in the game and I don't think it is out of the question.
