Lessons From Week One

Post by PISC »

The AFC West is still loaded with piles of shit for defenses.

Bengals, Ravens, Chargers, Raiders - ALL come up with gimme drives to take the lead in the final 5 minutes or so. Same old sorry ass story. Fucking comedy how idiots like Cris Carter and Collinsworth keep pikcing The Chargers and talking like this team is elite. 4th and 15 to Russell and they give up that bomb? LOL and did anyone really think OAK would hold it? Just like KC. Saw these fools cheering, "We go it now" and I was laughing, yea just like Ohio State. Never had a doubt in either that the better team would clamp down when they needed to.

BAL just rolled down the field and you could tell SC was freakin practicing the whole game....well, we could tell. Damn that kid has some confidence and poise...just like that other kid in New York.
"If I could be compared to him (John Madden)...." Cris Collinsworth.
Uh, fucktard, don't EVEN think it fool. No chance, no way, no how. No fucking shit you'd be honored or whatever the fuck you said you'd be. He's great, you're not. No entertainment factor, no insight factor, just brown nosing, bullshit. Who's cock did he suck to make it this far?

You forgot the Bills' McKelvin money under the table deal to fumble so that pussy ass primadonna Brady can come back and burn them again.

That was a giant fuck up on the Bills part. How in the fuck can you lose a game 11 points up with 2 minutes to go? Fucking McKelvin should have gotten the Private Pyle treatment using tacks instead of soap when they pound his stupid ass.

Bungals haven't changed and probably never will under Jailor Lewis.

McDummy and the Broncos still suck ass.

The Queefs are still the queefs but better than the Broncs

The Raiders JaLardass Russet Potatoes needs to learn how to throw and not be a scattershot out there. My god he look like a giant black walrus when he runs. They let Skitterbug Sproles beat them, again. On the bright side, the defense wasn't that bad and hit hard. They actually might have something there.

I see Panther in SoCal conveniently neglected to mention Carolina or Jake Delhomme getting stomped.

Oh well, that's one bandwagon with plenty of room left after PISC bailed.

And Duane, your "lock of the week" needed a garbage time TD after the game had already been decided to cover the spread, and you're in here talking shit about it?

Too funny.

To be fair to the Ravens D, 14 of those points came on a blocked punt and Int return to the 6 yard line. Even that TD was helped by a penalty that gave them a new set of downs.

The Chiefs amassed a total of 188 yards on offense and didn't gain a 1st down until almost halftime.

Totally inept and pathetic, from the playcalling to the execution.

The Texans showed me what it's like to come into a season opener totally unprepared and outmatched in every facet of the game. Everyone is accountable for that rather pathetic performance. The coaches and the players better take a long look in the mirror because if they fall flat on their face this season, McNair might make a giant shake up.

He has all the money in the world from revenue, but he doesn't care about that shit. He wants to win. And win now.

I hear you, 'spray.

I listened to Mike & Mike in the Morning on the way to work Monday and it was all about the Jets and the Irish because of Greeny's and Golic's backgrounds. Some nationally syndicated show they got there.

Dallas needs to shore up their run defense or they are going to get raped by the Gnats.

The Cowboys will be just fine without T.O.

I finally feel comfortable with the Cowboys safety situation since the retirement of Darren Woodson. Thank you Sensabaugh.

Another Eagles season and once again McNabb is hurt. This time the hit was a bit late and probably should have drawn a flag but I've seen worse NOT get called and had McNabb not gotten hurt I probably wouldn't have said anything. Kolb is getting 1st team reps in practice and will probably start on Sunday. I have no idea what to expect but based on his limited action thus far in his career, he has to take better care of the ball.

Offensively the Eagles didn't have to do much because the defense provided them with great field position. Westbrook looked ok in limited action and made cuts when he had too. Interesting to note that the Eagles declined to pick up the 2011 option on his contract so 2010 will be Westbrook's last year. His replacement in waiting, McCoy is FAST. He managed to turn the corner a few times on Sunday and is going to have an immediate impact on the offense this year. DeSean Jackson just might return 4-5 punts for a TD this year. He set up his block nicely on Sunday and turned on the jets. The offensive line, which was a major concern coming into the game, played well, though the Eagles used a TE and chip blocks to help out Winston Justice. Jason Peters had 2 enalities but otherwise was dominant on his side of the ball and flat out pancaked Beason a few times on run plays. The Eagles placed Shaun Andrews on IR -they did him a favor. That fat fuck is done. Just 2 years ago he was a pro-bowl guard and arguably one of the top 3 in the league. Now he spends time on Youtube making videos and talking nonsense but ultimately just making an ass out of himself. I can't access youtube to post links but do a search.. this guy is fucked in the head. The move to put him on IR was the Eagles way of releasing him. If you read the press release of Andrews being moved to the IR it'll read like a release statement of a player.

Defensively the Eagles defense looked equally FAST. The new defensive coordinator McDermot took JJ's (RIP) playbook and added a few wrinkles including lining up Trent Cole and J. Parker as LBs and blitzing the gaps. For as bad as Delhomme was, he never had time. Their secondary is deep and should they get teams in 3 and longs, they could roll out a package with 4 DBs (all of who could start for most teams in the NFL). I had reservations about letting Dawkins go but thought the Eagles made a nice move when they brought in Sean Jones. Well he didn't play, Demps may turn out to be a bust and a 6th round pick is now the starting FS on this team. So far so good though he and the rest of the unit will get a significant test this week against the Saints.

I uttered those exact words before the Raiders played the Saints in preseason.

I looked up and it was 31-0 at halftime.

Yeah, yeah ... just the Raiders, just preseason.

Hey, the Saints have a scary friggin' offense.

The Eagles better be ready to score some pts themself, 'cuz they won't stop Nawlins all day.

Reid already fucked up by bringing in Vick.. that'll manifest itself later in the season.

I can only hope so because I don't see much of a weakness on that squad of yours.
